If i atck a face down Spirit Reaper ,will it die?

This effect is only active during the Battle Phase of your turn. Battle Damage to this card and this card's controller that they take from a battle involving this card becomes 0. After damage calculation, decrease the ATK of the monster that was attacked by this card by 500 points until the end of this turn.

im not really sure becuz i know that all the D.D. monsters do not target but is this the same?

In the case of Rocket Warrior and the D.D.s, the selection for the effect is incidental to the attack target. You didn't choose which monster would be affected by the effect. You chose who to attack. The effect touches whichever monster you chose to attack, as opposed to selecting the monster for the effect yourself. Since the monster is chosen by the effect at its resolution, then it's not considered to be targeting.
