Scapegoat

You may NOT use Sheep tokens as a Tribute for Tribute Summons.
Tribute Summon is a "collective noun" for Tribute Summon and Tribute Set in this case.

(just as most of the time Normal Summon is a "collective noun" for Normal Summon, set, Tribute summon and set.)

You can use Sheep Tokens as a Tribute for effects (Cannon Soldier), and Special Summons (like Toons and Metamorphosis).

jep Cha is right, you cant use your scapegoats for tributing it for a tribute summon.

But you can use almost the same thing for tribute offers..And that is Stray Lambs..The only disadvantage thing they have is that you can't normal summon, flip summon or special summon in the same turn..

But you can set a monster card on your field at the same time..So I've you are using a Lott of def Monsters with high level..You can preform a tribute with 1 or 2 of them at the same time.

Also you can set a normal Monster on the field at the same time (no tribute required Monster i mean)

Know also that you must have 2 vacant spaces on your field to activate them..

Maybee a pointer

Yeah thanks, I was a bit unsure since they can't be used for Tribute summoning, however you are allowed to Set the turn you play goats, so I wondered if you were allowed to Tribute Set as well. Thanks.

That's only true in Japan and on Mystic Swordsman. The rest translate "normal summon" as "normal summon or set".

In America, Normal Summon is a face-up summon (tribute or non-tribute) that takes up your once-per-turn.

So, to conclude from what you're saying, I can face-down set as many monsters as I would like?
Don't think so... :p

The way I see it (the hard way), there are 3 main types of summons: Normal, Flip and Special

Normal is divided in 2 parts, which both also are divided in 2 parts:
Normal Summon
- Normal Summon
- Normal Set
Tribute Summon
- Tribute Summon
- Tribute Set

Flip is just Flip

Special is divided in 3 parts:
Special Summon
Fusion Summon
Ritual Summon

As you can see, there are 3 kinds of Normal Summon, and 2 kinds of Special Summon.

But this is very confusing, not very much people get this, but you get the point...
(it's better for non-complicate thinkers to forget this)

But of course, there also is an easy way...

Check your netrep files and learn..It can happen to any body

Rulings
You cannot activate "Stray Lambs" the same turn that you Summon, Flip Summon, or Special Summon. But you can perform a Set the same turn. So you can activate "Stray Lambs" and then Tribute one of them to Set "Labyrinth Wall".

You can't activate "Stray Lambs" unless you have at least 2 vacant Monster Card Zones.

Monsters may be Set the same turn "Stray Lambs" is activated.

In Japan, "shyoukan" is "summon". It refers to a face-up summon. Normal Summon is "tsuujyou shyoukan". That term refers to a face-up or face-down play of a monster that, by game mechanics, takes up your once-per-turn. "Tsuujyou shyoukan" was translated as "Normal summon or set" when Yugioh came to America. Take, for example, Ultimate Offering. Or a special summon monster. Both of those examples don't mention "set" in Japan. That was added when they were brought here.
