Did you read the text closely?

If you activate this card, you cannot Normal Summon, Flip Summon or Special Summon during this turn. Special Summon 4 "Sheep Tokens" (Beast-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position to your side of the field. The "Sheep Tokens" cannot be used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon (or Set).

I know its not a tribute summon. I said it was like a tribute summon in the way you do it. Just didn't go in to detail. You still tribute the same amount of monsters. The only difference is its a special summon.

The thing is, it's not like a tribute summon in any way. Your paying for the cost of a Special Summon, and in this case, it just so happens to involve offering tributes. That cost could just as easily have been "sending" monsters to the Graveyard, paying Life Points, discarding a card or any number of actions. Conversly, tributing in of itself, isn't indicative of a summon. You wouldn't consider the tributes for Cannon Soldier the same as Tribute Summoning. I realize they both invlove a summon, but thats just happenstance. You must keep the two seperate to understand why certain effects are prevented and others aren't.

huh???? lmao...... okay I think I got your point.... too many big words here, lol j/k. Yeah I understand what you mean I didnt phrase what I ment the right way and you said basicaly what I ment. But in much more complex terms, lol.



It isnt about SS or tribute summoning. Its the fact that scapes cant be sacked to bring out a monster like Mobious for example. While Stray Lambs can do that, but when you play it you cannot summon, Special Summon on tribute summon that turn. Its like playing a monster as a magic card... Thats how I look at it.

Sheep tokens can be used for every kind of tribute in the game EXCEPT for Tribute Summon or Tribute Set.

So you can tribute your opponent's Sheep Tokens to Special Summon "Lava Golem" because it's not a Tribute Summon. The same thing for the tribute Toons. Their summon is a Special Summon even though it requires tributes. The same thing goes for Ritual Summons. It's still a Special Summon.

Simply: you can offer the Sheep Tokens for any kind of Tribute Effect. Special Summons can only be conducted through an effect. They are never considered Tribute Summons.
