Sealmaster Meisei Deck Help

Calculative Duelist
Can someone give me an idea of what is the purpose of the Deck and how would one go about building one?

I could see a Skill Drain deck centered around that card with cybder dragons and fusiliers. Or you could use it as support with Bazoo Beasts, those are the two I would want splash him. You need to be abuse his abilities of s/t cancellation.

Probably try both and alternate between them in the Duel. Just wanted to see how possible a Deck like this is.

Both Seals? :confused_ You are sealing both seals then... You are creating a infinite circuit if you have them both active at the same time...

Not quite: if you activate the Talisman of Spell Sealing (trap) then you cannot even activate the Talisman of Trap Sealing.

If you activate the Talisman of Trap Sealing (continuous Spell) you could theoretically chain with the Talisman of Spell Sealing, but then the trap would resolve first and negate the effect of Trap Sealing. Then both cards would remain on the field, but only one would have an effect.

No infinite circuit would ensue.

I did a Meisei deck long time back...Im trying to remember what I learned from it.

If you use both Talismans, you are better off siding one and concentrating on the other. That way you dont have an over abundance of dead draws.

You want to get Meisei out quickly and keep him there. So first options are:

Mystic Tomato
Serpentine Princess
Enchanting Fitting Room
Heart of the Underdog

To get it back from the Graveyard (which will need to be done occasionally) there is
Spirit Caller
Soul Resurrection
along with more traditional methods (CotH and Premie)

There are 2 ways to go on effect negation:

Talisman of Trap Sealing
Non Spellcasting Area/Dust Barrier

or

Talisman of Spell Sealing
Skill Drain

One thing that can Backfire for you is that when you use an effect like Spell Sealing or Non Spellcasting Area, you tend to thwart your ability to use things like power up Equips or Heart of Clear Water. Without things like that it becomes difficult to keep Meisei alive.

You could use some of the new Spellcaster structure supports to help do your dirty work. You could use Meisei as a side item to a Normal deck, filled with Gemini Elf and such. You could even use things like Astral Barrier. All up to you.

Thats about all I can remember off the top of my head. Sorry, but my notes on this are at home. So I only have Ronin to reference right now.

actually they have a ruling on that issue "If you have "Talisman of Spell Sealing" and "Talisman of Trap Sealing", the controller can select which effect will be applied. If both players have both, the turn player chooses which effect is applied." which to me makes it a little better but if i were to make a deck around this guy i would go for a normal monster deck

Whenever I get the energy to do this I am going to attempt to make this kind of Deck, after at least I make a Spirit of the Pharaoh Deck.

Now THAT was a fun deck to play! I really should get another Pharoah monster, just to max out.

I had no idea about that ruling on the Talismans. That makes it so much more viable to run both effects at the same time.

But I am still confused as to how the ruling is justified. How can you activate Talisman of Trap Sealing (the spell) if the effect of Talisman of Spell Sealing prevents Spell Cards from being activated?

It doesnt seem to follow logic or chain resolution concepts (if you reverse the order of the Talisman cards)

Probably could only do it in a chain, but even that goes against chain link numbering.

I agree... that is the inconsitent point of it...
*Writes down in his notebook, that Konami has another error in their game*
