See ya

Well as one or two of you may have noticed I've not been about at all for the past month; in short I've decided to quit Yu-Gi-Oh.
I'm quitting play since knowing before I even set foot outside the door what 5 of the 6 (if not all 6) decks I face will be is just too dull for words, for a while I was debating waiting about for the new banned list but sure give that 3 weeks and people will all have figured out the new meta and just be metadecking for that instead so no more play for me. I get more joy from 30mins of a MMORG than an entire day of Yu-Gi-Oh so it just doesn't seem worth it to continue, time to develop new hobbies instead.

Since I'm no longer playing and so spending my time on other things I don't have the time to come here and keep up to date on rulings and such so I'd view it as unfair to keep up my role as a local TO/Judge so I'm literally dropping Yu-Gi-Oh altogether, both in terms of playing helping others play, I would've liked to try for Lv 3 Judge status but not much point if I'm not going to use it to benefit any of the players.

I'd like to thank you all for all the help in understanding rulings and gameplay and for all the great debates on rulings/procedures as well as the odd fun & silly topic, hopefully CoG will remain the great source of information and learning I have found it to be during my time here and that the rest of you manage to hold on to your passion and joy in the game.

Anyway, byebye, might pop by once every few months if I can.

I'm going to say here what I said in PM when you told me this.

:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Ok, well I don't have time to type it all, but you remember the general gist of it. Bye bye. :( Come see me on Neopets.com some times, m'kay?

It's a shame to see you go you were a very active member, maybe you could quit Yu-Gi-Oh and take up another tcg or ccg and continue visiting other sections of our site.

You situations sounds very similar to mine I'm also a level 2 judge that got bored with Yu-Gi-Oh and ended up quitting both judging and playing. I ended up playing VS instead...

Wow. I don't know what to say. I hope you can do as Da suggests and take up a new game that allows you to keep visiting here. Man, I really hate to see you go. Just remember to hang onto a deck or two. You'll always want to keep the option of casual play open. I hope you get to check in every now and again. You will be missed, my friend.

It really is sad to see another great member pulling the plug. You'll be missed (not to mention Gir). Fair well good sir. I hope upcoming events may change the game enough to respark interest for the disenchanted as this seems to be snowballing.

Bummer the way YGO things have turned out for you. You've done a lot for the community. It's a shame to see you go. We're going to miss you. Then again, if you stick around, there are other areas of the city that are non-YGO; then we wouldn't have to miss you at all *hint hint nudge nudge*.

omg.....its gir...such a sexy avvie
well i didnt know you but i hope you will come back to visit me ^_^
i wanna know why everyones avvie is better than min...*rant*

YOU CANT LEAVE US!!!!!

Look at your titles......Premier Supporter, Premier Contributor (and that one was imposed on there BY CoG), and a whole row of platinum colored stars. PLATINUM!!!

Anyway, you said you play MMORPGs, right? Isn't there somewhere on the forum for them? What about console/handheld gaming? Don't just go away. There are other places here for you to enjoy.

Just checked and nope, no MMORG section, heh, not even a PC gaming section, the consoles have all taken over it seems.:p

Dai? Where ya been? :D Seems like everyone is making their triumphant returns around the same time. Welcome back. Don't think of the MMORPG section as being gone. Think of it, as being merged. ;)

Hmmm I know your pain. I dropped off the yugi-oh planet monthes ago. And filled time with Guildwars(MMORG). lol after beating that 6 times I am floundering again as to what is next. I tried Magic and VS aswell but card games are so expensive when you get as deep in them as some of us do. I have come back to the forums to try to spur new interest for myself. Must admit I feel like a noob sometimes cause I have no idea what the new cards do as I quit buying yugi-oh around when the warrior structure decks came out. But the system general hasn't changed so can apply old knowledge I see they still haven't worked a methodology for card text adn interpretation lol. have to rely on whatever the judge list rulings are that week. That always hurt Yugi-oh, I felt. Well, I am a bit late saying goodbye but I just wanted to add that you definitely are not alone and you obviously will be missed.

If you guys are still looking to get into a CCG take a look at UFS by Sabertooth Games. Here's a link to thier site http://www.sabertoothgames.com. The game is relitively new so the noob feeling isn't that bad and the cards are cheaper than other games (VS, Magic, yu-Gi-Oh) and Sabertoothgames gives away cards at thier tournaments.

Been busy running a small SG, leveling my main to 50 and badgehunting on CoV. :)

CoX! lol (though you'd be on the US servers so we'd never meet in game anyway).

Afraid I'm pretty sure that I'm done with cards DaAmazing1, since you'll always have metadecking as opposed to innovation, you get it somewhat in the PvP aspect of most MMORGs too but not quite so badly.
