Senet Switch only looks at your five Monster Card Zones. "Adjacent" means "next to", not "opposite". Your opponent's Monster Card Zones are opposite to yours.
For example, if I have a monster in Zone 2, I can move it to either Zone 3 or Zone 1 (assuming they're empty).
If I have a monster in Zone 5, I can ONLY move it to Zone 4 (the Monster Card Zones do not loop around on themselves).
If I have a monster in Zone 3, and I want to move a monster in Zone 4, I can ONLY move it to Zone 5, because Zone 3 is occupied and I cannot "leapfrog" over it to Zone 2.
