Share the Pain
MRD-140
Normal Spell
Offer 1 monster on your side of the field as a Tribute. Your opponent must select 1 monster on his/her side of the field and offer it as a Tribute.

1) Can I use this card when I'm summoning 2 tribute monster?
2) Can I use this card when I'm summoning 1 tribute monster and just tribute my opponent's monster?
3) Can I use this card like Soul Exchange and tribute one of my opponent's monster to summon a 1 tribute monster even though I don't have a monster on my side of the field?

4) Can I use this card for Catapult Turtle?
5) Can I use this card for Catapult Turtle if the only monsters on the field are controlled by my opponent?

Share the Pain has absolutely *nothing* to do with a Summon. This is a Tribute in a similar fashion as a Tribute for Cannon Soldier. Just because you Tribute a card does not mean you are summoning something with that Tribute.

Look at what the card says, you select a monster as a tribute, and so does your opponent....so what happens after that, it doesn't say they are destroyed, it doesn't say you csnt use them for a 2 monster tribute summon, it doesn't say you couldnt tribute an opponents monster for effects like cannon soldier.

So what does the card do really, the card errata should be changed to make it more clear of what to do after the card is activated.

I asked about Share the Pain a time ago:

1. I want to know about Share the Pain. How does it resolve? Like
Creature Swap? Does it have an activation cost?

Answer:

1. Share the Pain: When you activate the card you offer a monster a
Tribute. This is the card's cost.

When it resolves, the opponent will Tribute a monster they control.

The card text should have its text updated later, when Metal Raiders gets analyzed or if the card gets to appear in Dark Revelation, maybe.

As Curtis said in the response up above, sending one of your monsters to the graveyard is the cost for activating "Share the Pain". So if it gets negated, you still lose your monster.
