Simple Swords of Revealing Light question

Can my opponent Set monsters after Swords is activated by me?

The card text says to flip all monsters face-up on the opponent's side of the field. It is unclear to me if that effect is continuous for the three turns that Swords is up or if that's just a one time action upon activation.

EDIT: reworded first line for clarity.

the flipping face up part is during the activation,
the opponent can set cards afterwards, but the effect that lasts for 3 turns, is that your opponents monster cannot atk you

Make it clear that when Swords of Revealing Light flips monsters face-up, it does so at RESOLUTION of the card. It ONLY flips monsters face-up at that time, not at any other time. So yes, you can Set monsters while Swords of Revealing Light is face-up on your opponent's side of the field, and they won't be flipped face-up by it.

Swords of Revealing Light only has one lingering effect, and that is the preventing of your opponent's monsters attacking (those that aren't unaffected by Spell Cards). That's the ONLY reason it remains on the field instead of going to the Graveyard like a Normal Spell Card should.

at resolution, so what happens when
TP plays Swords, and NTP chains MST

At resolution
MST destroys but does not negate Swords
does swords resolve succesfully?

Swords resolves, and flips all opponent's monsters face-up, but since it doesn't stay on the field, your opponent's monsters can still attack. It's on the Judges' List somewhere.

Slight correction there. Swords' secondary effect of stopping attacks is not a lingering effect. It's a Continuous Effect. That's why it must remain face-up on the field to do so. Also, if you click the auto-linking, you'll see where Swords has been errated to reflect that.

In this context I meant "lingering" to mean "something that isn't a one-off" (like the flipping is a one-off effect). But yes, I should have been more accurate with my wording.
