i had built one before but it wasnt working to well i lost life points too fast.

i know the basics of a skill drain deck but if you have any suggestions ill be glad to take them in

I dont know how much Skill Drain benefits from the new cards, typical monsters that work with Skill Drain that comes to mind for me is Fuselier, GAF, Lei Lei, GEAF, and Orc. I think I used Final Attack Orders as a side build. Don't forget that your hand is still free of Skill Drain's effect and I think your elemental searchers like tomato still work.

How the heck does Sand Moth help in a Skill Drain Deck? After it re-summon itself to the field, it's ATK goes back to 1000 and DEF goes back to 2000 once it's on the field....

THe new card among SOI that fits the Skill Drain theme is Chainsaw Insect. Cause that's a 2400ATK level 4 monster. (only Fusilier is better in ATK stat, besta all the goblin and leilei family)

a Sand Moth might go down well too.

Any normal monsters with high attack power and maybe even a few Non-Spellcasting Areas ight help out a tad as well.

First thing:: Sand Moth wont get his terrific switcheroo of the atk / def effect... Skill Drain is present

Normal monsters are cool and all, but with Skill Drain, they only lose their effect when they are on the field, so you have to take advantage of cards like Fusilier-Dragon the Dual mode Beast.. cards with summoning effects, but are absolute BEASTS attack wise with Skill Drain out.

Plus cards like Chainsaw Insect, a 4 star 2400 beatstick... if you look my deck over, its nothing but shear firepower, and if Skill Drain dies, i can still over power you..

Huh? I don't get that ruling? I mean, doesn' Skill Drain negate everything on the field. I mean, yeah Sand Moth switches it's ATK/DEF in the graveyard but once it's on the field, it's a field effect so it should neutralize it back to normal. (Kinda like Fusilier. Fusilier decreasing it's ATK/DEF and stuff is hand effect, but once it's hit the field, it's reset)

Because you switch the original ATK and DEF in the Graveyard and for all intents and purposes it as if you switched the printed stats.

Yeah, but it strikes me as somewhat contradictory to the Fusilier ruling...like the Dragon goes by what is printed on the card (yes I know its an effect), and Moth doesn't (yes I know the effect activates in the grave).
