If Skill Drain is face up on the field, would these cards lose their 2 for 1 tribute effects. Also, if these cards are played face down, since Skill Drain doesn't apply to these cards can we get their effects. I have checked all the rulings but it does not apply to any of these cards and it was difficult to find rulings for the searchers as well like Mother Grizzly, but I can say I did manage to find out about those and since their effects activate in the graveyard, Skill Drain has no effect on them. I'm guessing these cards would go the same way as the searchers like Mother Grizzly, but I am guessing, any ideas?

Keep in mind that when Skill Drain is active it doesn't stop a monster effect from activating, it just keeps the effect from resolving if the monster is face up on the field when the effect would resolve.

So if I tribute Double Coston, Trojan Horse, etc. it isn't face up on the field.

I think those 6 are also viewed more as conditions as well because I don't see The End of Anubis being able to negate their effect either. Of course we don't have anything in our rulings about it but JERP did somewhere (at least Raijinili mentioned something about that way back when we were having that debate vs cards like The Creator Incarnate). Because further, these cards CAN be used as a tribute and get the effect while face-down, unlike the others now. So I'm relatively certain that those 6 fall into their own category altogether.
