Heres the situation 1: Player A plays Snatch Steal on Players B Monster and takes control of it. On their turn Player B activate Book of Moon targeting their monster on Player A side of the field turning it face-down defense. (a) Whats happens to the monster? (b)Whats happens to Snatch Steal? Would the outcome be the same if they used Tsukuyomi to turn their monster face-down?
Situation 2: Player B chains Book of Moon to the activation of Snatch Steal turning his targeted monster face-down. Whats the outcome?

Thanks

I feel obgliated to replay that while currently that is the accepted UDE ruling on Snatch Steal Vs reflippables, I believe that the ruling for Different Dimension Gate Vs Change of Heart and the way in which Snatch Steal works disprove it.
The for Different Dimension Gate ruling states that if I take control of you monster with Change of Heart, flip it facedown (if it wasn't already), remove it from play with Different Dimension Gate, then have several turns pass before Different Dimension Gate is destoried (Change of Heart can no longer return the monster to you). The monster would come back on my side of the field then go right back to your's, despite the fact that it is still (and always has been) face down. Thus facedown monster are eligiable for a control reset.
And a control reset is excatly what happens when Snatch Steal is no longer activly equipped to a monster. The is no effect that returns the monster is Snatch Steal is destoried, bounces, or has its effect negated, yet in each case the mosnter returns to its original controller. I believe that the same thing should occur when the mosnter is turned face down, and that monster doesn't need to "remember" anything.

Unless an effect states differently, like Different Dimension Capsule or Lightforce Sword, cards removed from play are removed face-up when an effect removes them from play.

Cards like Nobleman of Crossout and Extermination still place cards face-up when removed.

Once a card, or "Monster" is under an opponents control and it is removed from play by an effect, control is "reset" and when the monster returns to the field, it would revert to the original owners control after temporary placement on the previous controllers side.

So a face-down monster removed by Different Dimension Gate would flip face-up when removed from play, then when it returns, it is reflipped face-down. Control is reset, but the monster returns to the field face-down, and even though it is face-down, it still reverts control to the original owner because it is not being controlled by an effect to keep it on the non-owners side.

It is still recognized as a monster, so it is not a situation of the game doesnt know who's monster it is. Until the monster is flipped face-up, control is at best, "still temporary" by the non-owner. The only difference is, and it has been pointed out already, Snatch Steal does not provide for the monster to be returned if the monster is flipped face-down and Snatch Steal is destroyed.
