Some quicky questions

1. Can Level Up! special summon the Same monster that was tributed... since the NAME of that monster is in its text (the name text)?

2. Can Monster Gate Special Summon Rare Metal Dragon?

3. Monsters Special Summoned that same turn after activation of "Staunch Defender" must also attack the monster selected by "Staunch Defender".

Now, I am aware this card merely gives the Attack order to all monsters (including DEF mode monsters, only that they are unable to comply... they still get the order as in cases of Final Attack Orders and stuff)
A. Does this card apply to monsters summoned during MP2

B. if they have 2 ATK mode and 3 DEF mode monsters (all face-up), would the playing of Zero Gravity after the first 2 attacks result in (all together) each of the 5 attacking once

C. And, just to be sure... does Staunch Defender "AFFECT" DEF mode monsters... I know they can't attack... but does the card still technically affect them (for purposes of Final Attack Orders or Zero Gravity played later)

1. Currently, as far as I know, NONE of the LV monsters have their name in the CARD TEXT. The CARD TEXT is not the CARD NAME/TITLE. Some of the higher level ones have the PREVIOUS level monster name in it. For those, you can 'level down' if you so choose to.

2. I would say you can, since you are Special Summoning the monster instead of Normal Summoning it.

3. A. No it wouldn't. If you're in Main Phase 2, then you've already finished your Battle Phase.
B. Yes it would. Since you MUST attack with all monsters, even the ones summoned AFTER "Staunch Defender" was activated, it would logically follow that any monster switched to Attack Position would also have to attack as well.
C. Yes it does. Same reason as B.

very interesting tidbit about staunch defender, it combo's great with spirit reaper, here's why:

When you select "Spirit Reaper" or "The Reaper on the Nightmare" as the target of "Staunch Defender", resolve the chain, and after the effect of "Staunch Defender" resolves, the selected monster is destroyed. A replay will occur, but the opponent can no longer attack because the selected monster is gone.

so if you use staunch defender on either spirit reaper or reaper on the nightmare your opponent can't attack you that turn
