Sony News on PS3 and PSP

Calculative Duelist
If you check out IGN's and Gamespot's coverage on all the news released so far. PSP will be working out a way to have PS1 games be downloaded to it and have all of this other stuff going on like phone stuff. PS3 just got all this crushing blow information (crushing to Microsoft). Let us see, Xbox Live, kiss your userbase goodbye since Sony has their own Live now. PS3 will need their 60 GB HDD that is upgradeable to play games (although it is still speculation it will or not be included with the system, but Ken does not want another 360 fiasco), Blu-Ray only games (limits the piracy and nothing has changed about what we can play on PS3: DVDs, CDs, PS1 games, PS2 games, etc), Linux (although I can understand why they pick this I hope they find a way to stop an cheating that will eventually happen with using Linux).

Just some info to further convince me that PS3 is going to dominate everything. Xbox 360 does not even feel like we jumped into the next generation either.

Basic services for the PSNP will initially be free, like Xbox Live Silver. However, unlike Microsoft's entry-level online service, which doesn't allow gameplay, the basic level of PSNP will provide gamers with the necessary services and functions required for online gaming, according to Kutaragi.

Despite rumors that Sony will make its back catalog of PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games available for download, Kutaragi did not specifically say whether games would be offered as a part of the PSNP's online commerce functions. However, given the success of retro games on Xbox Live Arcade, such a move is likely, as indicated by the announced ability to boot games from the PS3 HDD.

You do realize if the last one was to happen it be over, and even though this is just speculation if that would happen (which we know it will eventually I mean come on) Xbox is so done when this happens. Talk about true backwards compatibility. This is going to be like Revolution to the max if this happens. Oh and November seems to be the world-wide release date.
