soul exchange + cannon soldier

Question for my friend the habitual nonbeliever.Can you use Soul Exchange for effects that require the tributing of a monster i....including Cannon Soldiers effect? Thank you vm

As stated above, yes you can.
In addition make sure you activate Soul Exchange before you summon Cannon Soldier, that way, there is nothing your opponent can do short of Solemn Judgement or Horn of Heaven to stop you from tributing their monster for Cannon Soldier's effect (assuming Soul Exchange wasn't negated)
