While I wouldn't say "inappropriate" outright, I gotta agree with Masterwoo0 on this one. The "Grand Format" is a "Grand Mistake" with rewriting several mechanics and allowing banned cards back into play under different conditions. There's not real sense on commenting since it is just a made up format regardless of intent.

I suppose that's one opinion.

Personally, I think this will add much more flavour to the game, and we will see a much wider variety of deck types, due to the many staples being limited or restricted. ^_^

That is if it catches on. I'm afraid the complexity of it may be far too unappealing for most players. Too many conditions and contradictions to existing Game Mechanics to remember. I still run into players who don't know the difference between a Tribute Summon and a Special Summon that requires tributes. Players who still don't know how costs come before the effects they pay for. And few people understand what can and can't be activated in the Damage Step. To add an additional layer of exception and complexity to a game that is just barely climbing out a very confusing and contradictory past is very offputting to say the least. Simplicity is always far more appealing to a player then additional rules and conditions.

Though I think people could have simply said, "I don't like this format" or "I think it's too complicated". I guess they think they sound more intelligent when they find ways of working "crap" and "suck" into their conversations. :rolleyes

iono..it seems odd to me...it kinda feels like this format would be trying to make us be more like the characters on the tv shows...
