spell counters

Okay, let's looks at what both card texts actually say

Magic Reflector = "Select 1 Spell Card that remains face-up on the field and put 1 counter on it. If the selected card is destroyed, the counter is removed instead of the card being destroyed."

Apprentice Magician="When this card is successfully Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned, or Special Summoned, put 1 Spell Counter on a face-up card on the field that you can put a Spell Counter on. If this card is destroyed in battle, you can select 1 Level 2 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck and Special Summon it to the field in face-down Defense Position."

Magic Reflector deals with plain old counter...not spell counters. cards like pitch black power stone, breaker, Mythical Beast Cerberus, Skilled Dark Magician and a few others use spell counters

The counter Magic Reflector uses is not a spell counter, so apprentice cannot put her spell counter on a card that is not meant to take spell counters.

that clear things up ?

what would happen if you put 2 counters on a card with 2 magic relector?
it would have to be hit 3 times to be destroyed

EDIT:
My View Point:

You activate 2 Magic Reflectors on Toon World

The card states, "when the card would be destroyed, remove the counter instead"

So the effect of one of the Magic Reflectors has activated leaving the effect of another to linger until Toon World would be destroyed again, at that point both have activated and Toon World is easily food for Heavy Storm, etc

You guys could always check the rulings, too ... saves a lot of guess work. But it's always cool to find out you didn't have to look and end up being right anyway, right? :D ....

"¢ You can put 2 or more counters on a Spell Card if you activate 2 or more "Magic Reflectors". When the Spell Card is destroyed, remove the counters on it 1-by-1.
