Where's Lindsay Wagner?!?!?!

A friend of mine drove his motorcycle into her barbed wire fence way back in High School (his mom had a cabin next to hers) and the whole time he was trying to peal himself out of the barbed wire, she was chewing him up one side and down the other. He said, "Hey, your supposed to be bionic, why don't you help me out of this $#!*!" Let's just say that the tirade with which she replied does not lend itself to public forums, nor are there enough ASCII characters to cover it all (this was a few years after the TV show, when work was a little harder to come by, so she obviously was not in the mood). Still, a few stitches later and he could laugh about it.

I'm going off_topic

haha... reminds me of a John Denver (may he RIP) thingy one of my friends told me... my friend worked at the local municipal airport in Boulder, CO and one night John Denver flew in and came up to the counter and asked:

John D: "Any messages for me?"

Friend: cooly "What's the name?"

John D: annoyed "Denver, John Denver"

Friend: "Nope."

John D: storms off

teehee

John Denver was known for being crotchety behind the scenes.

Anyone remember the last Bionic Woman? You know, one of the ones from the TV Movies they made for decades after the two series. The last one was Dax from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

I guess they decided to give the Bionic Woman the Battlestar Galactica treatment. Looks pretty dark. No Steve Austin. (I had the six inch Steve Austin when I was kid). The guys in charge are nefarious. And the Miguel Ferrer, in breakthrough performance, plays a cranky bald guy. :rolleyes

I really like the fact that when she runs, she runs. No slow mo. I just miss the sound effects. That sound effect defined the show for me. Honestly, I don't see at first glance why they even had to make her Jamie Sommers. It's so far removed from the original series, why not just start fresh? Or even make it a continuation?

When Max the wonder dog came out inthe original series, I thought....shark jump!

I like the updated sound effects; making her eye sound like a lense focussing. I never did really get the whole "do-do-do-do" sound effects, or, espessially the "chirp-chirp" of activating her special hearing. I thought, "Dang, that must hurt! It hurts my ears." Never really got into the Bionic Woman like I did the Six Million Dollar Man. Still, I have one of the first issues of The Bionic Woman comics. I should dig that out and see what issue it is. #1? #3? I don't think it is higher than #7.
