the hex sealed fusions

i was planning on going to a tourney tomorrow using a deck with The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion but im a bit confused about how it works...like can i just use its first effect(fusion sub) and Polymerization to fusion summon lets say Cyber Twin Dragon and NOT use the second effect(tribute it and a correct fusion material monster to special summon a light attribute fusion monster)? the second one is can i use either of its effects to special summon any of the XYZ fusions?

A common way to play with "The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion" and "Cyber Dragon" would be to get both in hand when you have no monsters on your side of the field and your opponent has at least 1 monster. You can Special Summon the "Cyber Dragon" (wait for response from opponent), then Normal Summon "The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion" (wait for response from opponent), then activate the 2nd effect of "The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion" offering it and the "Cyber Dragon" to Special Summon a "Cyber Twin Dragon"

Oops, wasn't thinking about the no Fusion Subs Cyber Twin Dragon. Chillout is correct.

Simon - why wait for response from the opponent once you have normal summoned the Hex Sealed? As an ignition effect wouldn't you have priority to activate before needing to wait for a response chain?

Since this thread is on questions about the Hex Sealed Fusions, there is one thing I've been wondering about. In my deck, I've been using The Earth-Hex Sealed Fusion and Des Kangaroo to summon Master of Oz. Since Des Kangaroo is a dark monster and MOO is earth, I've never been completely sure if the special summon actually works. Does it?

Yes, you could certainly call Priority and activate the effect. I simply stated to wait for the opponent to see if they would activate a "Torrential Tribute" or "Trap Hole" or something. Cause it would suck to bring out the "Cyber Twin Dragon" only to lose it immediately..lol.

But that would actually leave you better off sending Hex and the other monster to the grave before the opponent could respond with Trap Hole, as with Exiled Force.
Nope. Play it out:

Special Summon Cyber Dragon

Normal Summon the Light

Wait for response

They Trap Hole it

You now have one Cyber Dragon on the field. Congrats?

Special Summon Cyber Dragon

Normal Summon the Light

DON'T wait for response, just go ahead and summon Cyber Twin

They Trap Hole it

You now have nothing on the field. Nicities...
