This deck isn't exactly what I'd call original, but I retooled my burn into a fire-based Soul Control. Youve probably seen the decktype a million times before. :eek:

Anyways, w/o further ado, the current version of my deck:

The idea is to use the Monarchs mainly, some other attackers in there in case the monarchs aren't handy. Toon Table of Contents/Toon Cannon Soldier in for deck thinning and alternate use for Soul Exchange if i have it but not a Monarch.

Fell free to be as blunt as you feel, if it is bad I deserve critisim.

2 Jowls of Dark Demise - take them out for Breaker and TIV (You can discard ur toon tables that u dont ned for its effect ;) )

2 Mystik Wok - take out u need more monster Removal add Lightning Vortex and if u think u have enough Monster removal then add instead Metamorphosis and get some Fusion to help ur Monarchs after all u can't attack when i monarch is brought to the field by Soul Exchange so better yet abuse that u have a 6 star monster and summon Ojama King or Ryu Senshi

Trust me i know what i am talking about i dueled u and i see how ur deck works but some cards are a waste so try these changes yo return the favor and see what you can fix or rate my Deck

Rate: 8/10 Soul Control XD like i told u only like Monarch Soulage which is Monarch Soul Control with Morphing ability. but ur deck isn't bad either i would try as well to add Spiritual Fire Art because Firestorm and Gaia are strong Fire Monsters.

I honestly don't see the value of including Fusion Monsters in this deck, as I have no possibilities that would actually help me and be worth the cost.

Lightning Vortex isn't up for consideration -- Magic Jammer already makes me discard too much I've found.

Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai on the other hand would come in handy -- since Gaia is gonna die anyways, why not sacrifice it to deal a flat 2000 damage? It might even cause a game win w/o waiting a turn like I usually do. Even better yet, it is chainable to say Snatch Steal, Ring of Destruction, Magic Cylinder, Mirror Force, Sakuretsu Armor, Lightning Vortex, Last Turn, etc. To top off the cheesecake with it's requsite cherry, all of my best monsters will work with it (all but the 7 weakest, whom I don't count on to make an extended stay on the field anyways...)!

I agree with the Breaker/TIV suggestion, so i'll implement that.

I think i'm gonna maindeck the Offerings to the Doomed (you said I needed more monster removal, right?) and side deck my Wabokus. 2 traps will be replaced with 2x Reload, as I not only find that I may want to draw faster in certian situations, but i OWN 2 of them.

Updated for the October Bans (the official ones were FINALLY posted today...) so I can get used to them. Also used this chance to bring myself back down to 40 cards, where I wanna be anyways.

Feel free to comment on any part of the changes, especially the addition of 2x Spear Dragon as out of theme cards (bringing my out of theme cards to 2 really. Toon Cannon Soldier, Toon Table of Contents, and Magician of Faith aren't exactly out of theme...), which I'm gonna reevaluate later (when I get home -- I'm writing this from school).

EDIT: Gonna try swaping Spear Dragon with Spear Cretin. also replaced Pot of Greed with Book of Moon (I neglected to notice Pot of Greed was on the Banned List...:eek:)

Hmmm... I've made a fine mental block for myself regarding more than 4 tribute monsters in a deck it seems. Normally that's good, but in this case I can see that I need more tributes -- Ive found many a time I have Soul Exchange but nothing to use it with, even with the Toon Cannon Soldiers in this deck.

Would a couple of Zaborg the Thunder Monarchs work? If so, what monsters should I take out for them?

Also, I'm at 9 traps; Interdimensional Matter Transporter sounds good, but i'm loath to give up the versatility of Compulsatory Evacuation Device, and can't think of anything else to axe.... I could playtest the change i suppose...

Thanks. Decided on Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys for now (with Blake's help of course), works well with Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai (as a final win condition or if I have Call of the Haunted/Premature Burial to summon it back, as "tribute" != "destroy"

A nice thing about the "Flying Turkey," as some affectionately call Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys (including me from time to time) is that if it is revived with the best recursion left (Call of the Haunted/Premature Burial specifically), and they destroy Call or Premature later -- with Mystical Space Typhoon, Raigeki Break, Dust Tornado, and the like -- Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is considered "destroyed by a card effect" and the Turkey revives on my next Standby to my opponent's possible dismay. Horn of Heaven and Solemn Judgment need not apply in permenant destruction of it either (cause they won't get hired). So basically it's like a FIRE version of Mobius the Frost Monarch on psychotropic medication that affects all S/T and has a recursion effect.

My only problem is i'll probably have to sell my soul to obtain this deck, now that I pretty much need all the non-commons (I need 28 cards) to complete the deck. Here's hoping I can make use of my collection of Dark Holes (I have at least 4) to obrain SOME of them. ;)

Need some help updating this for the coming set, Elemental Energy. I just edited my decklisting on here to what i'm playing with now...

I'm thinking i'll have to take out the 3 Thestalos the Fire Monarch, possibly throw in some other 6 Star monsters... (switch the tributes to 3 Mobius the Frost Monarch, a Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, and a Blowback Dragon?). I suggest this because i think the new decks that come out of this set will use lots of Continuous Cards for support, making Mobius the Frost Monarch invaluable for keeping the field clear.

Spiritual Fire Art - Kurenai I think is worth keeping, extra damage with a departing Gaia Soul the Combustible Collective alone warrents it's tenure IMHO.

As a side note, most of the 29 cards i need to complete this deck are Commons. Ive started a buy/sell process at the local card shop, and I hope that I can get enough each week to buy cards the next week to dump little to no more money into obtaining the cards I want. I'm also starting a trade topic here, I'll link to it in sig once I set it up.
