You'd still have to have a character on the field with the Mavel Knight affiliation. So if you don;t have your team-up, or you dont have a character in play, you still can't recruit Spideyda_rock said:ok, now what about midnight sons will that allow me to recruit TSSM if i were to run it in a spidey friends deck?
Actually, you can use [vcard=MSM-146]Clone Saga[/vcard] to recruit [vcard=MMK-027]TSSM[/vcard]. Loyalty isn't restricted to the original affiliation of the character. From the comp rules (707.3):Digital Jedi said:The reason this wont work is because Clone Saga just gives The Spectacular Spider-Man the Spider-Friends Team Affiliation but does not take away his original Marvel Knights Team Affiliation. Loyalty looks for the original affiliation of the Character Card to be in play on your side of the field.
This might work if an effect were "de-affiliating" a loyalty character in your hand and giving it a different affiliation all together. But as far as I know, no effect does that in your hand.

Clone Saga will give TSSM the Spider-Friends team affiliation. As long as you control a SF character, you can recruit TSSM.
Ah, good point. From the original question:luffy said:He did not specify that he has Spider-friends characters, so naturally most people would think that is the only character. Thanks for the reminder.
You would need a MK character or a SF character, either of which have the team affiliation required to satisfy TSSM loyalty requirement (with Clone Saga active).da_rock said:ok if i have Clone saga face up in my resource row, can i recruit TSSM even though i have no marvel knights character in play?
