Thousand-Eyes Restrict Question..

Tkwiget

Da Twiggy Man!
If I Metemorphosis a Magician of Faith into Thousand-Eyes Restrict and suck up one of my opponent's monsters. I can't suck up another and discard the current monster equipped to Thousand-Eyes Restrict can I? I am under the impression by the card's text that you can't continuously equip and discard your opponent's monsters on the field. As it is also true that you can't use Tokens from Scapegoat for Thousand-Eyes Restrict?

Just some things I was wondering about.

You are correct in your 1st assumption/question.

You CANNOT just discard or send the monster currently equipped to TER so you can 'absorb' another one. You can ONLY 'absorb' another monster when the currently equipped monster is destroyed, removed from play, or returned to the owner's hand. You can ONLY use TERs effect ONCE PER TURN.

The 2nd question. YES you CAN use Sheep tokens generated by "Scapegoat" for almost EVERY TYPE of tribute EXCEPT for Tribute Summon and Tribute Set. So you CAN use them with "Metamorphosis" to Special Summon TER, since it's not a Tribute Summon.

Yes and I assume you can't because they're a token. But I can see how they can be because they're considered to be a monster card. Just can't remember whether it can or can't.

Lemme make sure I was right on something here. If you "absorb" a goat token with TER, it is removed from the game immediately, right? So in effect, you can recycle TER's effect every turn as long as they have goat tokens, right?

Um..no. Why would it be removed from the game?

It's considered a monster. It can be 'absorbed' by TER. It will go to the Spell/Trap zone of the controller of TER. TER will get the ATK/DEF of that Sheep token (0/0).

Well, if a token is removed from the field, then it goes out of the game, and I just cannot wrap my mind around the concept of a "Scapegoat Equip" Card!!! Help, I need official material to help me understand!!

The token is considered a Normal Monster Card. It's a card as long as it's on the field. So whatever effects pertain to the field and Monster Cards is also going to pertain to a token as well (even transformation into a Spell Card.) It's when the effect causes the token to leave the field that things get tricky.

Yep, I'm afraid a token is always a token regardless of weather it's a token monster or a token equip. The way I learned this was from a question regarding Relinquished eqip. with a token, then the opponent activates Token Thanksgiving. The token is still destroyed, it's still a token.
