Thousand Eyes Restricts Effect?

This Question has proberly been asked a Thousand times.

I have created a Relinquished deck, with which I have Metamorphosis in.
In a game recently, I was able to use it to summon Thousand-Eyes Restrict .
Its the part of the wording at the start of this card,
QUOTE: 'As long as this card remains face-up on the field, other monsters cannot change their battle positions or attack'.
That is giving me a headache.
Does this mean what I think ana when it is summoned to the field it is continous, making it the only monster card on the field that can attack, including what other monsters I have on my side of the field, and other monsters summoned on either side there after?.
My friend seems to think it too powerfull for that.

Please Let me know,
Thanks.

That's right. Face down set monsters are face down until flipped by a card effect or TER is destroyed somehow. Also, just as a note, if he absorbs a facedown monster with his effect, his attack and defense become 0/0. Nothing but him can attack or change position as long as he is face up on the field.

Have your friend take a look at the effects of all the cards on the Traditional Format list, that aren't on the Advance Format list. There are cards far more powerful then that.

Plus, Instant Fusion. TER basically turns the card into: "Pay 1000 LP, send 1 opponent's monster to the Graveyard." AND it properly summons it, so you are free to bring it back!

Ouch. Instant fusion makes TER more dangerous for traditional format.

But yeah. TER can be abused with Tsukyomi (another banned card). Tsukyomi can also use Magician of Faith and Mask of Darkness for abuse. As a matter of fact, many ban lists ago, a tier 1 deck of the format used BLS-EOTB, Tsuki, TER, MoF, Metamorphisis, Graceful Charity with 2 Night Assailants............

You get the idea why most of these cards are banned......I hope.
