Hi

Can toon table of contents help to search out toon world from the deck?

Toon Table of Contents
Normal Spell

Add 1 card from your Deck to your hand that includes "Toon" in its card name, or is named "Manga Ryu-Ran".

"¢ There are no published rulings for "Toon Table of Contents".

Does that include "toon World" :D

Toon Table of Contents will even search out Toon Table of Contents. That's why you'll often see three splashed into a deck with no Toons. For Deck thinning.

OK, let's assume you're using something like "Skilled Dark Magician" (regardless of how useless everyone has decided he is around here).

You summon SDM, you play Toon Table of Contents, grabbing another TToC. 1 counter. You play your second TToC, again targeting TToC. 2 counters. Play the third and target whatever random toon you threw in like "Toon Gemini Elf". 3 counters. Remove the 3 counters from SDM and summon Dark Magician from your deck. Attack for 2500 :D

As far as pure thinning goes, by throwing in 3 TToCs, and just using them to grab more of themselves, you effectively thin your deck out increasing your chances of drawing into the card(s) you're hoping for.

It's the same principle behind Gather Your Mind, which is also a common card used for deck thinning. Gather Your Mind is a Spell Card which does nothing else but search out another copy of Gather Your Mind. The point is to decrease the number of cards in your deck, making it easier and faster to get to your main combos. It's why you'll often find both Gather Your Mind and Toon Table of Contents in Exodia Decks, since in a couple of turns, a player can suddenly turn his 40 card Deck into a 36 card Deck.

Gather Your Mind can also be applied to the principle of gathering of Spell Counters.

With the exception that Gather your Mind is much slower than Toon Table of Contents, in that you can only use it once per turn, whereas Toon can use all 3 in one turn.
