Treeborn Frog Deck

Well, given this is the TCG there really is no way in doing that now. In the OCG they still have Dandylion to abuse with it. You might as well just stick with using Soul Control for the Monarchs while keeping Treeborn as a safety net for easy Tribute.

you can build a monarch control deck in the TCG....it's just hard to find the right balance that's all. treeborn and Soul Exchange help, but as tiso pointed out, dandelion makes things easier for the OCG players.

I did have a stupi idea revolving around Blockman and Ultimate Offering...be nice to tribute Blockman after 3 turns with UO in affect + 3 monarchs in your hand lol....but that's not gonna happen

maybe use Stray Lambs to give yout tokens you can use to trib for your monarch perhaps ??

Nope. It is not. It was only playable because we had 3 Treeborn Frogs and 3 Dandylions in the OCG being abused to high hell with the Yomi-Emperor combos. Treeborn Frog did not need to be restricted, but Dandylion sure did. The card is screaming abuse and broken. When it goes to the Graveyard, Special 2 Fluff Tokens. They cannot be used for a Tribute Summon (or Tribute period) until your next turn. Just in th WC2006 game I abused just 1 Dandylion with Monster Reincarnation. Now are you wanting to make an actual Monarch Deck, featuring all 4 or do you want to just do what everyone else does and focus on Mobius the Frost Monarch?

Preaty much...

well atleast restricted to 1 it isnt as usefull as say Sinister Serpent restricted to 1, but now restricting the frog also made d.3.s Frog Fusion dumb since the max it can now go upto is 3000 when officially it should go upto 4000 and try and conted with BigPapaKangaroala

nope it cant, basically to use the frogg effectivebly you need to make sure that the spell and traps you set will be used during your opponents turn all the way upto your Standby so you can trigger the frog ability and summon it.

other than that... Its not splash material.

It is splashable. Like it is that hard to get rid of those face-down Sakuretu Armors or Bottomless Trap Hole. Just because you do not Special Summon it next turn, does not mean you cannot Special Summon it later on late in the game.

thats what im talking about. See people just splash crap into their deck with out realizing its full potential is in a deck that runs on using up their tools during the opponents turn so that on your turn you get the staller and sac it for a 5-6.

Its not just a thing like Sinister Serpent were that thing got put into any deck just becuase.

heck i saw it in decks that didnt discard at all and it was in there, the same thing is happening to the frog.

I dont think in the OCG it got restricted to 1 just because it was splashed into decks.

Its like the players that sac for Cyber Dragon. Why sac when you know it can be summoned for free ?

The reason it was restricted in the OCG first was because Konami wanted to let people to know you only need to use 1 in your Deck, not to mention Yomi-Frog Emperor crap that was going around. But yeah, the majority of YGO players all have it in their head that splashing is the way to go. I find it even funny that some of the writers on Pojo scream about wanting people to be original and you do not need to be CC, yet every last one of them run the exact same CC Deck you see all the time.

well you know the fusion was what they made the frog work with alot more...

THe one that increases 500 for every Treeborn Frog in your graveyard.

but since nobody used the fusion just a way to freebe monarch in the OCG Konami shoved a blade under the frogs little neck and said, "TAKE THAT!"

but yea the most other sites just stick with cookie cut instead of Archtyping decks.

The reason Treeborn Frog can be splashed into decks is because it's THAT GOOD.

I don't see what the problem is with good cards.

It's like people are saying if you use good cards, you're unoriginal. :)

Even with the rest of the Frog Support and the unreleased Frog Cards from the GX episode, the D.3.S Frog was like the main deal of the Deck. Having it only be a potential 3000 is just useless. I rather keep 3 of my 1900 Des Frogs on the field thank you. In a game where the players only care about winning at all costs, no one cares about sticking to the theme of a Deck, using theme support cards for that Deck, and not splashing every staple under the sun in the Deck. Hopefully next ban list, Treeborn Frog comes back to 3 just because it had its own built in anti-abuse effect to begin with.

see thats the point it has its build in D.3.S. Frog deck and nobody cares for it.

Its not cuase the Frog is "That" good, no were near it, its becuase it got abused so much in triplicate outside its deck.

Abyss Soldier was restricted for the longest time why? because the OCG was using it as a Psycho E-Virus?

and now its just mediocre so back to 3 it goes.
