Trucker burn

Is there anything worse?

For those of you that dont know what trucker burn is i shall explain. Its the burn a trucker gets on just one arm thats left sitting on the door of his truck half hanging out an open window. It gets burnt on only one side.

I was in Ballymore in westmeath today visiting a grave. Now the times between buses is a goos 3.5 hours. I had very few places to hide from the sun and despite the fact that i live in ireland there actually was some sun today. Somehow both my arms burnt on just one side (had on only a t-shirt) and nothing else. Not even my neck. I hate trucker burn.

Anyone else feel the same?

I once had my back burn terribly. I couldn't sleep all night because I couldn't lay on it, and I can't sleep on my stomach. That was brutal. I feel your pain.

I don't get trucker burn. I get trucker tan. I drive about 20 to 30 hours a week and my left arm is noticeably, although only slightly, darker than my right.


The worst sunburn though is the racoon burn. You know, where you wear sunglasses and the only thing not to burn is the area around your eyes. Not only uncomfortable, but looks like hell. Doesn't work well with the ladies, either.
