Hi everyone, writting from Mexico City...
One can pay 500 to make special summon, and flip summon a monster, in THE SAME TURN?, or set the card (norma summon) and pay 500 to flip it IN THE SAME TURN.??
Remember to take in consideration that this flip summon will be cause a card effect, doesnt this is an exception of the flipping roules???

To setting and flip summoning the card in the same turn: Nope, as that would be a manual battle position change and you're not allowed make any the turn the monster is summoned or set.

First off, Ultimate Offering doesn't Special Summon. It's one of the few, if only, modifiers in the game that allow you to Normal Summon through an effect.

Secondly, the only thing it allows you to do is Normal Summon or set. You can't pay to Flip Summon a monster. In addition, a monster cannot be flipped on the same turn it was summoned. Thats one of the three restrictions on Battle Position changes from the recent rulings revisions.

Ok, thanks, you are right, it normal summons, but does not the flip summon is a normal summon??? So if you pay 500 lp. you can make an extra normal summon, so isnt an exeption of the battle position change roulings???, to change the battle position by a card effect??

Nope. A Flip Summon does not count as a Normal Summon. You may be thinking of a Normal Summon sometimes counting as a Normal Set. But a Flip Summon is distinctly different.

I want to ask and add something for Darklight, just in case.

If you had 4 face-down monsters on your side of the field that were all set from a previous turn, how do you normally play that?

Do you only Flip Summon 1 monster, then move to the Battle Phase? Or do you Flip Summon more than 1 before moving to the Battle Phase?

Also, if you Flip Summoned that turn, do you still do a Normal Summon/Set, or Tribute Summon/Set?

I'm asking these because it seemed from what you said that you have been counting your Flip Summons towards your Normal Summon/Set count for that turn.

If that's the case, then you'll be happy to know that a Flip Summon does NOT count towards your regular Normal Summon or Set. So, in my 1st question above, you could Flip Summon all 4 monsters this turn if you wanted to. You could also then perform a Normal Summon or Set, OR you could perform a Tribute Summon or Set.

If I'm off on this, I apologize, but that's just the 'vibe' I got from reading this thread.

Hope this helps!
