Uria, Lord of Searing Flames

I pulled an Uria, Lord of Searing Flames at the Sneak Peak and had to make a deck around it. So here is my version:

{1} Uria, Lord of Searing Flames

{1} Gaia Soul the Combustible Collective
{2} Blazing Inpachi
{3} Solar Flare Dragon
{3} UFO Turtle
{3} Raging Flame Sprite
{2} Ultimate Baseball Kid
{2} Dekoichi, the Battlechanted Locomotive
{1} Sangan
{1} A-Team Trap Disposal Unit

Magic:

{3} Wave-Motion Cannon
{2} Creature Swap
{1} Scapegoat
{1} Pot of Avarice
{1} MST
{1} Heavy Storm
{1} Dark Hole
{1} Nobleman of Crossout
{1} Enemy Controller
{1} Snatch Steal
{1} Premature Burial
{1} Swords of Revealing Light

{2} Astral Barrier
{2} Spirit Barrier
{2} Gravity Bind
{1} Call of the Haunted
{1} Torrential Tribute / {1} Spritual Fire Art - Kurenai

Strategy should be pretty evident. Stall and burn until I hit with Uria or Wave-Motion Cannon.

I don't really like Dekochi, but it seems to fit so I'm going to try it out.

Any suggestions appreciated and I'll return the favor!

Ok, well judging from your current card pool in what you used in that Deck there is no way you can make Uria playable. It is more of just the BURN FIRE with Uria in it. I would suggest getting some more Uria, Embodiment of Apophis, and some other continuous Traps.

Hmm, ok. I've never seen an Uria build so I really have no idea what I'm doing with it. This just felt right.

How many traps would you suggest? 10? 12?

Thanks Tiso.

Hmm. I guess I was going about this the wrong way then. Those thoughts do make sense. Thanks.

I was also toying with the idea of 3x Blind Destruction and 3x Ordeal of a Traveler, but couldn't think of how to support those two for the long haul.

I guess I should just call this build a burn then, with Uria lurking in the wings.

I was also going with cards I actually have. Getting some of those would be difficult, and my main priority these days is getting Raviel.

I would also acutally suggest getting Mask of Darkness and Cat of Ill Omen to quickly get the trap cards needed (If you don't have 3) to get Uria out. It doesn't HAVE to be continuous trap cards, just at least trap cards that you can activate at any time so you can have it face-up then pull out Uria. (You can have continuous at your grave for ATK/DEF fueling.) So that means you have have 2x Continuous, then activate 1x more regular Trap, then tribute those 3 to get Uria. And yeah, 3x Emphosis is a must IMO for Uria deck. A Continous trap that also works as a monster, what else can you ask for huh?

I'll say run about 13 traps. (or maybe a bit more) But yeah, since it's a new card, I don't think none of us really knows the "good format" for this deck-type.

Hmm, thanks. I will definately be looking at this deck more closely.

Unfortunately if I focuse on this I'm going to need a lot of new cards.

Any deck in particular you want looked at?
