waboku???

okay i got a question its kinda complicated
heres the situation:

(player1)
has archfiend soldier in atk mode
he then sets waboku
end turn>>>
(Player2)
summons goblin attack force
(player1).... chains
with waboku
(player2)
attacks with goblin attack force

this is the question no i know g.a.f atk is reduced to -0-
but does it negate the attack?
is player 1's soldier destroyed?
if it is destroyed does player 1 lose any life points?

because i know that g.a.f does not get destoyed right?
i dont know its so confusing just help me....

the damage to your lifepoints will be 0

what happens is, GAF attacks, and it reduces the damage to 0 and ur soldier still survives and GAF ends up in defense mode

when Waboku is activated, it makes all damage taken from battle with an opponents monster to zero, not the monster's attack itself. Since Goblin Attack Force still has higher attack points, it wins: but Archfiend Soldier is not destroyed because of the effect of Waboku. Since the attack was not negated though, Goblin Attack Force is switched into defense mode. Note though, that if a Goblin Attack Force were to attack a Goblin Attack Force with Waboku active, the player who activated Waboku's Goblin Attack Force would survive the battle, while the opposing one would not.

Everyone is correct. Waboku only reduces Battle Damage you and your monster would recieve to 0. And thats both while attacking or defending.

No one caught where you said Player 1 chains to the summon of Goblin Attack Force, though. You can't chain to a summon, you can only repond to it. In this case however, if Player 2 is doing nothing else with his priority, respond to the summon with Waboku. But summons do not use the chain.

You can also actvte Waboku after he declares the attack. Of course it would suck if he has a set Trap Jammer, but I digress.

Good eye! I noticed that but forgot to say something. You also cannot chain to a monster being tributed from the field. There is this kid at the shop I go to who thinks you can chain to tributing for Jinzo! Not at all.

This probably comes from the confusion created by the fact you can negate Jinzo's summon with Horn of Heaven and Solemn Judgement. And because you get to see what the summoned monster is before you decide if you want to negate it. I think alot of players are confusing this function and muddling it up with the basic chain and summon mechanics.
