Weird activation if response window does not close...

I was thinking (again) about this issue, and other strange situation occured to me:

JT is in his Battle Step and have 1 face-up Jinzo and one face-up DD Assailant. NJT has only 2 set s/t.
JT declares he is attacking directly with DDA and pass. NJT responds activating Book of Moon, targeting Jinzo. JT does not respond. Now, I (and some others) believe the response window is closed, and both players could only activate cards without "when your opponent declares an attack..." requirement.
But, if the link to the declaration of the attack is still "lingering" and as BS admits multiple chains, NJT could now activate Sak Armor, targeting DDA.
Was it a legal activation? (I believe it's not...)

Thanks

The response window only closes when an effect resolves, not when it is activated. Activation is not an event because you dont know if it happens(!), because it can be negated. Only at resolution is the activation successful.

After Book of Moon resolves and turns Jinzo face-down, the last thing(s) to happen was
"Book of Moon resolved" + "Jinzo was Set(turned face-down)",
so Sakuretsu Armor cant be activated anymore.

it seemed as if BoM was activated in response to DDA declaring attack - so it resolves (flipping jinzo) then attack resumes .... i think you can still respond to attacking monster with sak armor....i'd have to admit tho' , that the best way to respond would be to chain one to the other rather than waiting for one to resolve before activating the other.....to be sure you got both effects...sak armor says destroy attacking monster -not when atack is declared destroy the monster...as long as both players do not agree to let attack go to damage step, timing should be ok for SA

You can only activate this card when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster.

Seems to me fury be correct. The last thing to happen after jinzo goes nightynight allowing sak to be activated was the resolution of an effect not the decleration of an attack so sak cant be used.

You can't chain Sakuretsu Armor to Book of Moon in this case because, until Book of Moon resolves, Jinzo is still face-up on the field and, as such, you can't even activate trap cards.

After Book of Moon resolves, timing is lost for cards that respond to the attack, so no Sakuretsu here either.

Cheers
