XYZ and hex fusion subs

Can any of the fusion substitues be used in conjunction with XYZ pieces. In particular, The Light: Hex sealed fusion. Hex isn't helping fusion summon the monster, it's just a special summon of the fusion monster. If I had, say, X-Head Cannon on the field, could I summon light hex, then remove them both to special summon XY or XZ. If so, would I remve them from play as is required with xyz summons, or would I send them to the grave as per Light hex fusions effect? any help greatly appreciated.

Hey

I'm surprised that no person answered this question. Actually it's not a bad question; but, look closely at XYZ. That card can only be special summoned by removing all three peices. I will actually need some support for my answer. Why? because of the extent of your question. It's not bad, I just don't think you can do it. Why again?>lol It's a very close description to Dark Paladin; just like dark paladin it has a card requirement. If the requirement isn't fulfilled you basically can't bring it out. The difference between the two is that one must be fusion summoned (paladin), and one must be special summoned by removing each head cannon. But, I actually hope I"m wrong. If I am since I have that card, I may be able to use it. But, most likely nope can't do it that way....

Hey,

I do "think" i'm right, but investigate. Look for mod's and judges here on Netrep™. I just have a knowledge for the game. For a full summer people kept telling me: NO! you can't use Fusion Gate to special summon Dark Paladin, then they said the monsters had to be on the field. I usually fused them from my hand either fusion subs or Buster Blader or Dark Magician. But, not until I "called", Upperdeck I found out from Eric Tice himself if I could or not and he said "Yes"! I could do that. From field and hand. O.k, those new fusion sub's, have two effects:

Any fusion sub can be used to special summon as long as the other one is the correct one. Plus it must be the right attribute like light, dark, earth etc. Like if I wanna bring out dark flare and I have Polymerization. I don't have Dark Magician on the field but I have him in my hand and I have the light hex in my hand and Polymerization face down on the field. No, light hex can't be used if it's on the field to bring out a dark fusion monster, by the second effect. But, if it's in your hand or field you can fuse it anyway ( by fusion, not the special summon.) Fusion is a special summon but I mean the literal fusion summon. Even though the new fusion subs are very powerful. I still don't think you could use it with the X,Y,Z cannons. Because of it's level of fusion. ( has summoning requirements) He is a good monster but is not considered a fusion summon. Considered a special summon, that's why the first effect wouldn't work of any fusion hex, or even King of the Swamp or goddess of the third eye. But, maybe the second one might, so still ask around.... I do doubt it will work but ask anyway>lol

That'll be cool if it could work, so I just wanna know anyway.

You cannot use the Hex-subs as substitute to bring out XYZ-Dragon Cannon, XY-Dragon Cannon, or as such because the XYZ fusions cannot be properly Fusion Special Summon, brought out with effects like Polymerization, Fusion Gate, Hex-subs, etc.

Yeah I figured

Yeah, I figured that much. I actually use to play with XYZ and kinda knew that you couldn't. Which I told him, but wasn't completely sure about the hexes. Yeah he's basically a little like Dark Paladin, that's why I gave that example. His requirements put him in paladin's category. In a way, but anyway, yeah thanx>lol
