FET-JP034 Brain Jacker Dark/Demon/2/200/900 Flip: This card would become a Equipment Card, and equip on an opponent's monsters. You gain control that monster, and during each opponent's standby phase, he gain 500 lifepoints. Rare Does anyone have any information on this card yet. When it's effect does and doesn't go off and if it is restricted, semi-restricted, or non of the above. I know it hasn't been released in the states yet but I was just wondering.
When there are only face-up monsters with ATK 1600 or more on your opponent's side of the field, this monster can attack your opponent's Life points directly. Well at first I thought this was a great card... until I realised any facedown monster or S/T would render it rather useless.. urk.. So anyone have any way of using this card properly?
And a tie-in of sorts between last week and this week. At 1850, he was one of the stronger Machine monsters (and monsters overall) back in the day. Even though he's since been eclipsed by a few 1900 and 2000 monsters, he's still a strong monster for Machine-decks (the strongest 4 Star) I believe. He's a Normal Monster, so he has some support from the newer sets. Time may have dated him, causing for people to look for "newer models", but "Mechanicalchaser" is still a worthy monster.
This is just one of those cards that little kids play in there so called Beat Down Decks. At first, I payed no attention to the card at all since it would get Special Summoned from the graveyard with 0 ATK/ 0 DEF if it were to be destroyed. But recently, with the release of Monster Renicarnation, this guy has a home in a Beat Down Deck, or Necrovalley deck even, if Necrovalley decks played Gilasaurus more often, a Gearfried deck, or some sort of deck that special summons monster often. Now then, double the ATK at the cost of Tribute Monster, then do the math. - Tribute Berserk Gorilla, 4000 ATK points - Tribute Skilled Dark Magician, 3800 ATK points - Necrovalley face-up, Special Summon Gilasaurus from your hand, Tribute away for...
Hey there, Dan here again with a second card review, this time of our best friend and all-round mammoth defender, Big Shield Gardna. It has been featured on the anime series multiple times, so it was a great joy to see it appear in both TP5 and in DB1, especially to me, a guy who wishes to eventually build a grand Guardian deck, lol. Here's what the dude looks like: DB1-EN097, TP5-EN002 Big Shield Gardna Earth/Warrior/4/100/2600 Negate the activation of a Spell Card that designates this 1 face-down monster. At that time, flip this card into face-up Defense Position. If this card is attacked, change the Battle Position of this card to Attack Position at the end of the Damage Step. Ultra Rare (DB1), Super Rare (TP5) Heh, we were really...
RDS-EN047 Lighten the Load Spell Add 1 Level 7 or higher monster from your hand to your Deck and shuffle it, then draw 1 card. You can only use this effect once per turn. Don't let this card fool you, you're not getting any card advantage despite the word "Draw."  If you're unlucky to draw your level 7+ monster you get to shuffle it back into the deck and get a different card instead.  But wait, if the level 7 monster goes back into your deck, you just might Draw it again, and Lighten the Load can only be used once per turn. I didn't mention that you have to Draw Lighten the Load first, an otherwise useless card.  So if you draw 2 useless cards you can send one back, and get a new card, so you're still stuck with One Useless...
Reflect Bounder Level 4 Light/Machine ATK: 1700 DEF: 1000 When this face-up Attack Position card is attacked by a monster on your opponent's side of the field before damage calculation is resolved in the damage step, this card inflicts damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the attacking monster. Then after damage calculation is resolved, this card is destroyed. Pros: * Potential to do almost infinite damage (depending on the attacking monster) * 1700 ATK which means it could most likely hold its own for a turn or two if your opponent decided not to attack. * Outstanding Effect. * Not negated by most cards (exceptions apply) Cons: * Opponent could attack with something like a Sinister Serpent and only take 300...
Now as me and my friends alll sat around duling and such one offered u the questio nof what is , in your opinion the most poinltess(effect) Monster, spell, or trap in the english game of yugioh. Everyone had there idea, one said gather your mind but he was soon shot down, another said wondering mummey which ended up being a stale mate, another...and he made a good point being the Final letters with out the use of a F in a deck. There not playable so they just kinda do nothing. It came to me and i thought of all the cards i had just looked through as i whipped through my colllection as i built my harpie deck, i remember finding Yado Karu Yado Karu When this card is changed from Attack Position to Defense Position, you can place any...
Ah, an oldie but still goodie. 500 damage may not seem like much, but Cannon Soldier is often used when you want to clear your side of the field or just want to get that extra little bit of damage in. Works great with "Scapegoat" (turn the Sheep into 2000 Damage), and he can tribute himself to slip under "Skill Drain". He doesn't see much play these days, but he can fit in nicely in more than few decks in order to provide that extra little bit needed in order to provide victory.
Zombies.... o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o :-o Book of Life PGD-033 Normal Spell Text Special Summon 1 Zombie-Type monster from your Graveyard in face-up Attack or Defense Position and remove 1 monster in your opponent's Graveyard from play. - Obviously works well in Zombie-Themed decks only of course. The effect of this card isn't a cost effect, but, you must meet the conditions of having your opponent have atleast 1 monster in his/her Graveyard.... now that's not too hard is it? :-) - Monster removal is always a good thing, in most cases you remove monster staples that so happen to be in your opponent's Graveyard like maybe.... that Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beggining who keeps slashing you twice with his lethal sword? :lol...
im gonna go in depth with a much underrated card bait doll a short print from the booster LON Card # LON-EN096 Card Name Bait Doll Card Type Spell Is Equip No Is Field No Is Continuous No Is QuickPlay No Is Ritual No Card Text  Force the activation of 1 face-down Trap Card. If the timing of the activation of the Trap Card is incorrect, negate the effect and destroy it. If it is not a Trap Card, it is returned to its original position. After this card is activated, it is placed into the Deck (not the Graveyard). Then shuffle the Deck. and for the image People often underrate this card but when used right it can be one of the best ones. Uses for this card: force your opponent facedown traps he doesnt want to activate...
"Only once during each player's end phase, the turn player tributes one face-up monster on his/her side of the field and inflicts damage to the opponent's life points equal to half the original ATK of the tributed monster" It's somewhat overlooked as you often won't need it until near the end of the duel when you have no way of getting to your opponent's LP. So what would be some good combinations with Ectoplasmer if any?
When I pulled this card from the "Dark Beginnings 1" Set, I was ecstatic. This was on of those cards I always wished I could have. Unfortunately, his entire usefulness has been replaced by "Master of Oz", who is also a 9 Star Fusion that's 1000 ATK stronger (Opinion: A fusion of the single baddest Archfiend along with one of the strongest Dragons can't hang with an overstuffed Teddy Bear and a Boxing Glove wearing Marsupial? ********!) You know what though? The art on the card is still beautiful, and you can still pull off a OTK if you can get a direct attack with this monster and then de-fuse him back to "Summoned Skull" and "Red-Eyes B. Dragon". If he were a new card today, you can bet he'd be a whole lot tougher than the 3200ATK...
This particular Archfiend usually sees use with "Magicial Scientist" or "Metamorphosis". It has 2 nice abilities, the ability to negate Trap Cards that Target it (so it's not going to be affected by "Ring of Destruction" or "Magic Cylinder") as well as negate the effects of FLIP monsters. Being a 5-Star Fusion monster, Scientist and Metamorphosis will likely be your 2 best ways to bring him to the field (even though he won't be considered "properly fusion summoned" so no Reborning). Otherwise you would HAVE to use "Cave Dragon" and "Lesser Fiend" with "Polymerization"/"Fusion Gate" to bring him to the field since he can only be Fusion Summoned using the exact monsters (no substitutes allowed). Despite that, he should be a staple in...
Image: PokeOrder.com Ryu Kokki Invasion of Chaos Common [ZOMBIE / EFFECT] If a monster that battles with this monster is a Warrior or Spellcaster-Type monster, destroy that monster at the end of the Damage Step. ATK/2400 DEF/2000 This card has a lot to offer. It is the weapon of choice for Zombie decks these days and can really boost a beginner's deck. When I say beginners deck I mean those little decks that the 7-8 year olds play with, with the 7-colored fish and so on. I'm not calling them noobs, because that's not true, I'm just going to call them beginners because they just started playing. Anyway, the main point of today's article is to look at the underrated-ness of Ryu Kokki, a common from Invasion of Chaos. Firstly, let's...
A highly overlooked card. Not only does it give you a small ATK boost when activated, but it gives the added bonus of raising the ATK of your monster by half of the ATK of the monster it attacks. That boost can let some of your weaker monsters take down your opponent's stronger monsters. Since the effect only works during your battle phase, the card isn't so broken. But it still is plenty useful and can surprise most players since it most don't see it played. Also, with this card, you can help bring out "Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon" and "Metalzoa" if you have "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" or "Zoa" on the field and equip those monsters with "Metalmorph". However "Metalmorph" is far more effective on just about any monster in the game.
This is a highly underrated card that pretty much only sees use in the Scientist FTK deck. However, it's flexibility and stackability to bring out any monster 1500 or lower from your deck makes it one of the best searchers around, esp. in the Advanced Format. There are only 2 requirements to properly use this card. 1) "Last Will" MUST be played before a monster is sent to your graveyard. 2) When a monster is sent to your graveyard (by any means), you must use the effect right then (or right after the current effect fully resolves) or the state ends and you can't later bring something out. So if you activate "Last Will", then summon "Cannon Soldier", then offer "Cannon Soldier" as a tribute for its effect, right after the 500 Life...
And today we get to the "Big Brother". This fusion card is pretty much a staple for almost any deck. Like "Relinquished", he can be used to suck up an opponent's monster. Being a 1 Star Fusion also makes him much easier to get out via "Magical Scientist" or "Metamorphosis" on "Sinister Serpent" (or "Sheep Token"). But while he lacks "Relinquished"'s extra punch, he does have the ability to prevent monsters from changing their position as well as not allowing any other monster to attack. This gives "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" almost total field control to the player. Careful as it does affect your monsters as well. Also, if you do bring out 2 TER, you essentially locked yourself as well since the effect of one "freezes" the other too...
And this card will be appearing in the January ARRJ. Quite the underrated card in my opinion. Very useful for field control as well as disrupting your opponent's strategy. Being a 1 Star, he can slip under most Stall utilities not to mention just about anything can be used as Tribute to help fulfil the Ritual Requirements (even Scapegoat tokens). Ever since DCR came out, he's also received more and more support to help not only get him to the field quicker, but also to help bulk him up as well (Ritual Weapon? Opti-Camouflage Armor? Manju of the Ten-Thousand Hands? EVIL) While "Relinquished" isn't a card you can just drop into any deck and expect him to work, with a little planning, you'll find he can work with most decks rather well...
Last Turn Normal Trap This card can only be activated during your opponent's turn when your Life Points are 1000 or less. Select 1 monster on your side of the field and send all other cards on the field and in their respective owners' hands to their respective Graveyards. Your opponent must then Special Summon 1 monster from his/her Deck in face-up Attack Position and attack your selected monster. Any Battle Damage from this battle is treated as 0. The player whose monster remains alone on the field at the End Phase of this turn wins the Duel. Any other case results in a DRAW. What can I say that I already haven't said in the December ARRJ? (download it now! /plug) This card works great against Burn style decks mostly because they...
