    Desert Sunlight activation conditions

There appear to be no activation conditions on Desert Sunlight... here's its text: Desert Sunlight Normal Trap All monsters on your side of the field are changed to face-up Defense Position. and it's only ruling: • If you have a face-up Flip Effect monster, you can activate "Desert...

    Spell Immunity

back to Horus LV 6 and Creature Swap... I didn't know you could activate Creature Swap with a Horus LV 6 the only monster on one side of the field... so now, preferably if he's on your side of the field, can you activate Creature Swap, target your own LV 6 and then just get the opponent's...

[JCP-YGO] New Forbidden/Limited Cards Lists For Advanced and Traditional Formats (Effective March 1,

I laughed when I saw this list... it's funny to me and I have to admit I was totally smiling when I saw Raiza limtied to 1 and had a confused look banning Call of the Haunted and bumping Jinzo up to 3. I was sad to see Magician of Faith go but that was really the only sad point. My son is...

    field of confusion

Thanks for backing DLoC up on the question of activating a new Field Spell when you already have a Field Spell on the field... I know he knows a lot about the game but I thought "That is crazy that it doesn't matter if it's negated."

    Yubel, Terror incarnate question

Yeah, I was just backing up what you said DJ with something official from UDE since harvey_locust only looked to the rulebook about triggers.

    Yubel, Terror incarnate question

Actually, Spell Speed 1 (including Mandatory Triggers) that attempt to activate at the same time are placed on a chain... I think the difference here is that even though Yubel's effect of destroying monsters is a Trigger it is not attempting to activate at the same time as the other Yubel...

    Yubel, Terror incarnate question

but Yubel's effect allows some choosing of when it goes off since it only says "during". yes, I'm confused too... just like the first responders who said it's an Ignition Effect but Konami says it's a Trigger Effect. Seems like it's a "hybrid". Help Simon, help!

    Yubel, Terror incarnate question

It's in his statement... Yubel's effect in the End Phase is a Spell Speed 1 effect. Therefore, it can't be chained. So, once you activate one Yubel's effect... it will resolve before you can activate the other... You can chain other effects to Yubel's effect as long as they are Spell Speed...

    Yubel, Terror incarnate question

Wierd, it's a Trigger Effect but has an unspecific trigger... "during"... so what if you have Ectoplasmer on the field? Can you Trigger one Yubel, then chain Ectoplasmer to it and destroy the other Yubel? Leaving the 1st Yubel on the field? I would say yes.

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

wow, Simon, no wonder you didn't want to have say all that... thanks though! That really helps!

    Dark Illusion vs. Forced Back

It's that special time when Solemn Judgment and similar cards activate before the Summon actually is complete... the Summon hasn't officially happened yet and therefore you're not targeting a card that is "in play"...

    Prime Material Dragon

Ah, thanks I see... although you're wrong in the first part that is bolded... FAO doesn't change it to ATK position initially... that's how it's summoned... i.e. via a game mechanic. :D
  18. S

    Prime Material Dragon

what also adds to the wierdness is Stumbling's ruling with FAO: • When "Stumbling" and "Final Attack Orders" are both active, a Summoned monster is changed to Defense Position, then changed to Attack Position. and it doesn't matter what order they were activated.

    Fiend Comedian

Fiend Comedian Normal Trap Toss a coin and call it. If you call it right, all your opponent's cards in the Graveyard are removed from play immediately. If you call it wrong, send a number of cards equal to the cards in your opponent's Graveyard from your Deck to your Graveyard. If you call it...
