I hope to see many of you there (the more competition, the better!)

No wonder I didn't find it. It was under "General Discussion". And here I was trying to figure out how it managed to get behind the October regionals on the list. Thanks Masterwoo0.

Also, we have Regionals in the DFW area "all the time" (uh, relatively speaking). While we attempt to do many of them in areas that are within the Dallas to Tulsa corridor so that we have a median area for all players, the DFW area is not without its share (and even more coming in 2006 once JDS Events/Empyre Group have a couple of major annoucements in the PTO department to share in January/February).

THe only Texas regionals I've seen scheduled (before the added Dallas one) was for either Austin or Houston, and that doesn't count as "DFW" Area, in my opinion, since I'd have to drive 4 hours to get there, and that's assuming that there's no traffic. And I looked at your post. I didn't know there was a SJC in Texas either.

Hmm ... I'll have to look again, but I believe we've had a Regional in the DFW with in the last Quarter. But, I know that most are not advertised as well as they might need to be. However, I promise (I do. I do.) that there were be more (if we have any say over it, and I think we probably will) in the DFW area in 2006.

Do not quote me on this, but if I recall, it is the joint goal of JDS/EGI to have events within the Dallas/Tulsa corridor (or, more realistically, between Waco and somewhere in Arkansas - or something like that - and from Ft. Worth to College Station and possibly further toward Louisiana) approximately every two to four weeks. That's a lot of events.

Hey, at which store do you play at locally?

That was gonna be my 1st question to him as well. Where do you play? What part of the DFW area do you live? I live in Hurst and play (and get my butt kicked) at Buzz On almost every Saturday, except when Bishop and EGI/JDS has me on retainer..lol.

I live in Saginaw (pretty much North Fort Worth). It's Right between Blue Mound and Lake Worth. Saginaw was never really a big city, although it's really grown in the las couple of years. It's in the 76179 zip code. I'm very close to Boswell High School (If you've ever actually heard of Boswell, then I feel sorry for you, unless your local high school is one of the ones always beating us :) )

None of the places that I know of in Saginaw have leagues or tournaments or anything on the weekends, not even the local comic book store. Not that you could fit more than four people in there at a time anyway. I've been trying to find a place to play, but can't find one close by. I usually just play with my friends that live aound me. There's about eight of them. We go to the booster pack previews, and the mall tour when it came around, and that's pretty much all the compettition we get.

my bad for posting it in the wrong section but i wanted to know what was the expected ending time for the win a box on friday cuz i'm thinking about being cheap and just take the train there and back but the last train is at 10:30

Unfortunately, I have no clue. I would expect that it depends on the number of people that show up. Depending on where you live, however, we might be able to arrange transportation home for you. Drop me a PM if you aren't comfortable just shouting it out here. ;)
