Did she not recieve the e-mail I sent her? I'd be happy to send again if she needs it.
Sorry for the confusion. I haven't talked to her in a few days, so I don't know if she got it or not. I will see Laurel Saturday at the Sneak Peek and put in the good word again.

I am rather interested in staffing your event but like John, I require travel and lodging.

I am the regular head judge with Cascade Games Yu-Gi-Oh! events in the Northern California Bay Area. I have also judged for SCGE and Unity Entertainment. Feel free to contact all 3 PTOs for my credentials.

I received an e-mail today. While it appears they'd love to have me a airfare rate of $256 round trip seems to be out of the budget.

I'm sorry to hear that, John. I pushed hard for Laurel to bring you in, but she just felt that she could not afford it. I know she gave it a lot of thought and made the decision she thought was best for her and the store. Maybe next time . . .

Simon, thanks for the offer, but the PTO has decided she can not afford to pay travel costs for judges. She is willing to pay lodging, but that is it.

I appreciate the consideration and your recomendation just the same my friend <s>

Yeah, I was also trying to push your name up the ladder and I think if it had been a situation where she could have, you were good as gold!

I'm just disappointed that I wont be there myself, and I'm "RIGHT THERE". Darn school....

Guess there's always Philly...

No worries guys, I appreciate you putting in a good word. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't <shrug> I've put in to HJ the Austin, TX SJC this year, hopefully that will come about. If nothing else I'll see people at GenCon Indy and perhaps nationals (wherever and whenever they may be)

I am a LV1, and if my team goes to DC, I would judge if I could test LV2.

If you would like me to find out if I can, PM me.

Im sure there will most likely be testing for LV2, but dont you mean, "PM me if testing will be available"??

Also, it's College Park, Maryland. Not D.C.

Don't worry, when I volunteered I was under the impression that it was in the DC area as well... which is why I told Laurel it was no big deal since it was only a 4-hour drive. But now it looks more like a 6-hour drive and a bit iffy... I still plan on going and working the event... but it all depends on how March goes for me, I might not know anything for sure until after PC Atlanta on March 23-26.

Actually, depending on what time you'd be coming, it still is under 6 hours. Traffic just increases your time on the road, not the actual "distance".

I live in Maryland, and work in Silver Springs, about a 30 min or less shot to D.C., which is about how long it "should" take me to get to work everyday, and I live past College Park.

It actually takes me an hour and some change. Sometimes 1-1/2 hours to drive basically 22 miles.

That too, but what I meant is if you would need another judge, PM me and I can check with the team to see if we plan on going. I know a few of us are going to Florida for SJC.....and spring break. How convenient that they are so close together?

College Park is inside the Beltway. That makes it "in the DC area." The difference between getting to downtown DC and getting to College Park from the south is maybe another 1/2 hour depending on the traffic.

Game On!!!!

Looks like I will be available after all!! A torn labrum Muscle decided everything for me. Of course it hurts like hell sometimes, but generally all it did was keep me from meeting the physical requirements to go to the school I was supposed to go to in April, so, I get to Judge as planned!!

Hopefully, I will get a chance to test for LV3, which would be almost as good as going to the school would have been.....
