Roc from the Valley of Haze is a Trigger Effect. So, when it is sent from your hand to the Graveyard, its effect will trigger.
Example:
If you discard Roc for TIV's effect, Roc's effect will trigger and will start a new chain
after the chain block of TIV's effect resolves. When Roc starts a new chain, your opponent may add an effect to that chain.
EDIT: I don't know if the error is in the card's text or in the FAQ, but it looks like it will still be a Trigger Effect. If UDE mentions something like an "Errata" will be released, then it might be the text that is in errer. Do you mind if you post your email and response to this thread? Thanks.
sure i will post it. and thanks for the explination, the thing is, im still with that d&&) bug.
i know that if i discard RFTVoH from my hand from, lets say, TIV effect/magic jammer/monster reincarnation. i know that it is in fact a trigger effect, and when those cards effects are resolved, RFTVoH goes............where???? that is the question. in the card text it says "to the deck". in the ruling "to the hand".
wich of the two is accurate?
maybe what im missing is that if i activate TIV, discard RFTVoH,TIV resolves, and my oponent activates a quickplay spell card.....then, if my logic serves me right, i can use the same RFTVoH that i had used to pay the cost of magic jammer??
but then again.....heres the text of the mail.
"What errata are you talking about? It is a mandatory trigger, as written on the card. we already knew that"¦but thanks.

Subject: Yu-Gi-Oh!! Card Text Error
Thanks for taking the time of reading this mail.
i would like to submit a "text error" on one particular card. let me put the text that it's writen in the card, and the aleged error.
"Roc from the valley of Haze" RDS-EN015
Card Text: When this card is sent directly from your hand to the Graveyard, add this card to the Deck and shuffle it.
and this is the ruling text.
Rulings
Because this effect is a mandatory Trigger Effect, you cannot "miss the timing" with it. So even if you send "Roc from the Valley of Haze" to the Graveyard as a cost, or in the middle of a chain, it will still return to your hand (after resolving the current series of events).
so, i have pinpointed the so called "error" i found in the text. by all means, im not saying that im an expert on the rulings, nor do i mean to judge your criteria. im just a player with a doubt. i saw this ruling on the netrep page (
www.netrep.net), and they told me to contact you guys. again, im not an expert on the subject. i just felt in my judgement to let you know on this situation.
feel free to make any comments that you please, but take into consideration that im not triying to go against nobody's criteria.
Thanks again for the time, and, if someone see's this mail, and i send it to the wrong place, please, direct this mail to the person/department that is supposed to go to.
Your's Truly.
