Text: When this monster is destroyed as a result of battle and sent to the Graveyard, by paying 1500 Life Points, look at your opponent's hand and select 1 Monster Card from it. Add the selected card to your hand, and you can use it in this Duel. (When the card is sent to the Graveyard, it is sent to the Graveyard of the owner.)

Does it mean that if my oppenent has a blue eyes white dragon i can summon it without a tribute or do I still have to tribute for it??

Of course you still need to tribute for a summon, you are merely taking a monster card from your opponent and using it as your own.

Nothing would even imply that you could summon it without tributes. Basically, it only adds the monster to your hand.


In my opinion she is a bad card. If you pay 1500 to look at your opponents hand and they have no monsters, then you paid 1500 for information. I know, a basic rule of Texas hold'em, sometimes you have to pay for information. But 1500 out of a 8000 starting stack is too much pre-flop, maybe ok post-flop if you have a chance (like you know your opponent is holding a monster FOR SURE)...........you get it.

The card just isnt that great. I mean, what's the best thing you get from it? A 1500 Confiscation that sends the monster card to YOUR hand instead of THEIR Graveyard, and if they only have a level 5 or above monster, and you have nothing on the field to use as a Tribute, it basically evened itself out. You got a card you can't do anything immediately with, and you took a card they might not have been able to summon either.
