I picked up 2 packs of the Strike of Neos boosters yesterday, but only got plants, a spellcaster, and warriors. Are there any Fairies in this series? Same goes for that Samurai structure deck coming out soon.

The only Fairies that I know of in the Strike of Neos booster packs are the Secret Rare ones found in the Hobby League boxes and the Special Edition sets.

You could check out the Netrep.net site and see all the cards there.

Samurai Structure deck? Um, where did you hear this as there's been nothing on the Japanese spoilers to indicate anything of the such. The next 2 structure decks were supposed to be:

SD11: LIGHT/Fairy - BUT, the release of this outside of Japan has been cancelled. The new cards from this are the 8 of the 9 Secret Rares you can pull in Strike of Neos as Simon already mentioned.

SD12: DARK - No word on if we are getting this.

And good luck trying to get your hands on them. But man, they are good. Shame we won't be getting the Structure.

Just wondering, but where is your proof we are not getting them or if they are cancelled.

Just because we got the new cards as Secret's doesn't automatically mean we don't get the structures, since I have seen nothing official mentioning it.

I'm feeling a bit lazy at the moment since it's been a very long weekend. However, there was a thread on Pojo and on on the DMComet forums that linked to a UDE Press Release (in German) that was translated and said that it was scheduled for an April Release but was removed and used the words "will not be available outside of Japan". The Secret Rares was their way to make it up to us (also, the original scans of some of the Secret Rares were from the German set).

I'll look for the links later. But I consider that to be pretty official.

which sucks cause I want my easy access to Gellenduo and Nova Summoner. (Those are the good ones) Secret Rares are costly and hard to get ya know.

Actually UDE has released a number of their "advanced press releases" such as this overseas first. They're rather notorious as to NOT say anything over in America. We are treated with the mindset that "we'll announce it if it's coming but until then I don't know where you get your information from" knowing full well that most savvy players get their information from what's in the OCG.

That said, regardless of language, "not being released outside of Japan" sounds pretty definitive to me. However, feel free to wait until the end of April if you want since that'll be the only indication you'll get from the North American side of things that no it's not coming.

Wait a minute, so you are saying that there is not going to be any US release of the Light deck? Why not? That is bs. Looks like I'm going to have to import it now.

As for Strike of Neos, there are 7 cards listed at Netrepâ„¢, and greedy people on ebay want like $30 for them. WTF? Are you saying that I would just be wasting my money buying booster packs trying to get the Fairy cards?

You know how freaking hard Upper Deck is making it to collect all of the Fairy cards???? I have yet to find a Dunames the Dark Witch for a decent freaking price.

As for the Samurai SD, I'm tlaking about the one that Shonen Jump has been advertising the hell out of in the last issue.

While I agree with you that the cards are overpriced at the moment, it's because they are Secret Rares, and much harder to get than a typical holo would be from the set. It's unfortunate, but that's the way it is. Harder to find = more expensive.

I for one hope this isn't true either because I was hoping to get this Structure Deck x3 when it was released. I'm certainly not willing to plunk down the extra cash for these Secret Rares right now, but give it some time and they should come down in price some. You might luck into pulling some from STON packs, but then again you might just be spending a lot of money for naught. Unless of course you think the set is worth it (like I do).

Good luck, Dr. Kain. Let us know how it goes.

Import it from where? Japan? That's fine if you "want" the cards but not if you were looking for an English / Tourny legal print of them. And yes, if you really want Secret Rare Fairy Cards, the odds are that it will be cheaper to buy them individually rather than trying box odds which are roughly 1 Secret Rare per 1.5-2 Boxes (1 Secret Rare per 36-48 packs). Either that or find someone who has them and trade for them (mine are decked).

As for that Samurai SD, you misread it. It's not a structure deck, it's a sample deck plugging the "Six Samurai" theme that is the main theme in Strike of Neos. Being as most of those cards are commons, it's pretty easy to put together. But there's no dedicated structure deck for it.

Good luck on your Fairy Hunt.

Thanks for the info guys.

Jathro, I think that is what I'm just going to have to do. In the long run, it would be cheaper to buy them off ebay (I wish there was a dealer here that sold Yu-Gi-Oh!, but everyone just does stupid Magic), but I'll hold off in hopes that they drop a bit. Even the most expensive cards from like Dark Crisis (still trying to complete my set) are lower nowadays.

Densetsu x, I collect Fairy cards, not to play, but to just own. I do the same with Spirit cards and the Dark Crisis series (I need 4-5 more cards to have a complete set). I do have a deck of Fairy cards, but they are just my duplicates, triplets, etc. Plus my girlfriend is the only person I know that plays this game. Thus, it would not matter if they are in English or Japanese. Not trying to be rude to you, but why must everyone think people only buy cards to play? What happened to people knowing that there are collectors out there?

I am both a collector and a player so I get cards for both (how else can I explain why I bother with the Sacred Beasts). But even as a collector, personally I don't find a reason to get a Japanese print of a card unless the art is that nice or that substantially different. I have some (mostly Ultimates) but I didn't go out of my way for them and it just wouldn't be the same to say "oh I have it" when it's not in my primary language of speech. (This is also why I don't bother with Spanish cards even though those are playable).

Again, this is just my "personal opinion". Obviously yours is different and more power to you. Believe me I am completely less than thrilled over this since instead of $30 for 3 of each as you said, it's $30+ for 1. If they decide to change their minds and release it later well then great! I still won't be upset that I bothered to pick up the Secret Rares though. I have 2 of the Neo-Parshath's Gellenduo, and 2 of the Aegis of Gaia (which is useful in a Sanctuary deck if you don't over extend). They look great and the collector in me loves them. The fact that I can play with them is a perk (esp. Gellenduo who is my backup Reaper now... granted, it's a little more risky, but still). So you are preaching to the chorus here even if we don't look at it the same way.

Do any of you know what the translated name of the Light deck is? I'm trying to look for it on ebay, but I need to know the name as I'm just looking for nothing.

I'm going to be extremely displeased if we don't get the structure decks anymore, and are forced to resort to secret rares. The structures were what I looked forward to most, really helping out the people who couldn't shell out the constant major money for the multiple "shinies" to stay competitive. Not to mention I was looking forward to the Dunames Dark Witches to possibly make some really weird Advanced Ritual Art/Chaos deck with those new, really expensive to special summon monsters in the next set.

Ah crap. I found a guy on ebay that had the Surge of Radiance deck for $16, emailed him to see if it would be all right to pay him next Friday, he said yes, so I just went to buy it, and someone already did it!!!!!!!
