Appropriate states the following,

"You can activate this card when your opponent draws a card outside of his/her Draw Phase. After that, each time your opponent draws cards outside of his/her Draw Phase, you draw 2 cards."

I was just wondering that for say my oppoents draws 5 cards outside the draw phase, do i draw 10? 2 for each 1 card they draw, or is it just 2 cards. As it states, "each time your opponent draws cards outside of his.her draw phase, you draw 2 cards."

It doesnt say "a card". It says "cards". So I was needing some clarification on that, as if it meant just that time they were drawing or fore each card.

Also, can Appropriate's effect work on Disturbance Strategy?

You would only draw 2 cards. "Appropriate" is one of those 'lump sum' cards, as I call them.

You are correct in your assessment of the 'a card' vs. 'cards'. That little difference is what makes this the way it is.

So it doesn't matter if your opponent draws 1 or 20, you will only draw 2.

Ok thanxs. That was what i was thinking, as many people in my area are trying to run a FTK Exodia deck and use this combo. Appropriate with Distrubance Strategy, thinking they can draw out there whole deck in a turn. lol. Thanks again.

I think one of the Graceful Charity rulings can clarify that:

Your opponent cannot activate "Appropriate" after you activate "Graceful Charity" since the last effect that resolves with "Graceful Charity" is discarding, not drawing, and your opponent misses the timing. But if your opponent already has an active "Appropriate" face-up on the field, he/she can draw 2 cards after you activate "Graceful Charity".

That last part suggests that you only draw 2per "effect draw." In other words 2 cards for every source of a draw.

But the last thing to happen with "Disturbance Strategy" is your opponent drawing cards, so it would work.

Gotta question, and it sort of relates to this topic. I checked out the Appropriate's rulings.

When effect resolves, I thought the events like Graceful Charity are simlutaneous, draw and discard, but after reviewing the rules, Appropriate cannot be activated as the last thing to happen was the discard from Graceful Charity.

People say you can Bottomless Trap Hole the Zombie type Special Summoned via Book of Life, and some say you can't because they don't know but to read the effect in order, but after reviewing this, what is first? The removal or Special Summon?

Having thinked it over after I post I made. I just thought Book of Life was a case like Blowback Dragon, where the effect must be interpreted and not just to play the order text on the card.
