2 questions about it.
1) If i activate card destruction and appropriate is face-up on my side of the field, can I draw cards with his effect?
2) If my opp flips dekoichi or a merchant and I activate appropriate, can I draw cards with his effect? And after dekoichi has been flipped, my opp activates pot of avarice. Can I also draw cards? thanks...

1. Yes you can.

2. If you ACTIVATE Appropriate you won't draw, you will begin drawing after you activate it. <Magical Merchant does not draw by the way>... with Pot of Avarice you will draw.

1) Yes, you can draw.

2) If it's Dekoichi you can activate it, if it's Merchant you can't because Merchant says pick up. Note that you don't draw cards when you activate it, only after you activated it and your opponent draws again). Yes you can draw if Appropriate is already face-up on the field.
