Armed Dragon LV3 effect

Is Armed Dragon LV3 effect a graveyard effect or an on the field effect. In other words, does Skill Drain negate it's effect? How about The End of Anubis?

Its not a Graveyard effect. Its a cost effect, so Skill Drain does not stop it and End of Anubis has nothing to do with Armed Dragon's effect activating.

It is a Ignition Effect activated on the Field.

Skill Drain = No, it would be off the field by the time the effect resolves.

End of Anubis = No, it does not designate a card(s) in the Graveyard, nor is it activated in the Graveyard.

Hope that helps

I wish it did help, but it doesn't. The card's effect is activated on the field but not stoped by Skill Drain because it doesn't resovle on the field. Nor does End of Anubis negate its effect because it's not activated nor resolved in the graveyard. Where the **** is this effect resovled at?

Skill drain doesn't care where the effect is resolving, only where the monster is when the effect is resoliving.

The LV monsters' level up effect are resolved on the field, but the monster is sent to the graveyard as a cost, so skill drain can't affect it.

If the effect is activated from the field, the effect is on the field. Examples are "Exiled Force" LV monsters, "D.D. Warrior Lady", Flip Effect monsters, TIV, Ignition Effects, ....

If the effect activtes in the Graveyard, then the effect is a Graveyard Effect. Examples are "Sinister Serpent" and "Witch of the Black Forest".

If the effect activates from your hand, then the effect came from your hand. Example is "Kuriboh"

Skill Drain only affects the monsters that activates and resolves in the field, as long as the monster is still face-up in the field when it resolves.

Skill Drain does not affect "Exiled Force" even though he atcivates on the field because when he resolves, he is now in the Graveyard. Same situation with LV monsters. This is also why if you manage to remove the monster out of the field before his effect resolves (with the help of "Ring of Destruction", "Compulsory Evac Device", "Trap Hole"), the effect will NOT be affected by "Skill Drain" anymore.

Effects resolve in the same zone that they are activated in. In this case its the Field zone.

Why would it matter? It's just resolving.
