Maybe a slight exageration on that, but definatly food for thought. The new set, The Lost Millenium introduces a power house card rivaling the effect of Ring of Destruction, Nitro Unit
A potentially crippling and life winning card when used in the right way, this could become potentially a third equip spell card in cookie cutter decks. 'Three' I hear you all cry, yes three, a lot of people have forgotten about the other 2; or maybe not. A lot of decks all use Premature Burial and Snatch Steal (although we might see less of Snatch Steal with Brain Control round the corner as well) and even then they don't power up monster cards like Axe of Despair does, they are still equip cards. Now let me reintroduce you to Arsenal Robber.
Just to remind you, this card was a common in Dark Crisis and from what I can tell has never seen play in any decks I have faced or built. The good part about this trap is that it is chainable meaning that if someone destroys it, you can still activate it (as long as it was not on the turn you just played it) and you also have a good guess at hitting an equip card simply by saying Premature Burial and Snatch Steal.
Both Premature Burial and Snatch Steal are restricted to 1 which means the odds of getting them to your hand are higher than most, plus since most people use these equips over any other also means that guessing these cards will often reward you successfully by dumping an important card from their deck which can only be retrieved by Magician of Faith, Spell Reproduction (hardly see that in decks) or Dark Magician of Chaos. Magician of Faith is likely to be the method to retrieve these cards but if you Nobleman them first, it's likely they have lost the card for that duel.
So there you go, have a think about some cards before you pass them by, they could have potentially deverstating effects to the Cookie Cutters. The new staple might be a bit audacious, but seeing it in the side deck could make it more useful should you happen to come on to equips of that magnatude.

Equip Spell
This card can only be equipped on an opponent's monster. When the equipped monster is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the equipped monster.
