Away for a while

Basically....
My TO had his Tournament laptop stolen when he accidentally fell asleep on the train, meaning all my local Tourneys have been cancelled until further notice.
Not many duelists left anymore in this land of huge koalas & boxing kangaroos anyways....
My own PC has also totally carked it too, AGAIN!! (Memory probs, like me).I am posting this from my 'bro's PC.
Most of the friends I duel casually are taking a 3 month total break from YGO between the end of Nats & the September Ban List.
They reckon its pointless to play during this stage. I'm starting to agree with them. NOTHING IS GOING ON!!!
My health is also so/so atm & I'm not 100%. I just get impatient & frustrated way too easily now.
I guess I grow tired of waiting for stuff to happen, just like everybody else.
I have even tried to make stuff happen myself lately, but have failed miserably in all my attempts.
It takes 2 to tango & if one has a broken leg, they cant tango can they?
So, I have no choice but to swim with the fish for a while. There is nothing to discuss that has not already been discussed either. What is the point? I'll return when there's something important going on. Thanks & cheers to all.

Im back after a 3 month forced "techno-break" (due to hackers). Miss me?

I come back to see a new ban-list:
-which totally sucks "because Konami said so". *I looked for my fave emote, but couldn't find it*

I come back to see a new forum design:
-which looks real cool, besides many emotes going to "emo-heaven"
I see that Dark Armed Dragon is "broken". *This emote is gone too*
Although the "Jars" are still there, so at least I have something to be glad about. :morphjar:

I see a few old faces have gone & a few new ones have joined us.
I lurk for a while on the CSC Team thread on Pojo (cursed be that name) & see no new replies since the year dot.
I was tempted to post in it, but as I recall I am trying to give up that Pojo bad habit. It rots brains, it does.

Having said that, I am trying to learn M:TG as an alternative to F:TK..well at least for 6 months, until Konami/UDE/Yugi Motou realises that they have screwed this format totally & take steps to rectify it (one would presume this is going to happen after they have drained every last cent from PTDN).

At least I am glad the hackers didn't know I post on here, because I cant post on any other of my "regular forums" now, due to all my accounts being deleted by them.
I could make more hotmail addresses & new accounts for all of them, but I cannot be bothered starting everything from scratch anymore, under totally new ID's.

I actually had to get a new PC (well, a new second - hand one) because they completely stuffed everything up totally beyond reformat or repair. :crying:

Anyways, enough of this. I still see the forum is "going" although not as fast as before.
Catch ya soon, guyz.

Necro, glad to see you back around these parts. Never fear. The old smileys are not dead, they are undergoing redesign. See, the dark skin didn't sit well with the old Smiley's borders, especially the animations. The animated smileys will be the last to see revision, as soon as I can figure out how to make a .mng file, a better quality animation then .gifs.

Hey, if you can give the M:TG forums a boost, feel free. It's been somewhat of a mystery to me trying to figure out how to generate interest there. And I haven't had time to pick the game up....yet. ;)

Again, welcome back.

Why, thank you dear Digital Jedi Master from an unknown universe.
I am also glad to hear that the old "smilies" are not dead, just sleeping & undergoing refurbishment.
In the interim, I sussed out the COG Online Shop to confirm this. :D
I also read "pwned" which I somehow missed in my time here b4. The last episode was clearly the best. I loved the "cut".."wtf?" bit. It had me rofling for quite a while there. I will await further "instalments" of this in due course.

As for M:TG, I only decided to learn it yesterday, so I am probably as much in the dark as you are, but I have an idea.
See, I am a M:TG "noob"..so, the forum will follow my adventures about how to learn that game & get good at it (hopefully).
I will post all I have learned so far & maybe people can add to it. I'll also post my daughter's deck she left with me @ a month ago, when she traded "Card Games" for "A Life".

I also have my refurbished YGO Fiend Deck to post & hopefully those guys from the Lair are still around (resists the urge to buy a FienDillie-O teddy bear)

Anyways, I am rabbiting on again...
It feels good to be back.

I'm glad you liked Pwnd. I started it a very short time back. I'm definitely going to add more, but I'm going to put few in the can before I start posting. That way there's not six months between every issue. Kinda like what LittleKuriboh started doing with his series. I notice it's quite regular now, and I'd like to match that.

Oh, feel free to shop till you drop. I won't mind.

Life without card games? That's not a life I want to live!

Welcome back Necromancer! I'm sure it has been a rough hiatus for you. Hopefully things will be getting back into the groove for you soon! If M:TG is a little expensive for you to start into, you could always try UFS. i had a small stint with that and thought it pretty fun.

Welcome back to CoG (I once thought the G represented "Gods", lol), nah, anyways, hope to see you around some more.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome back.

I don't mind the cost of M:TG, but what I am very quicky finding out, is that this is one of those games I just cannot learn by reading a rulebook or infy amount of threads on the internet about it.
Whatever I read only serves to confuse me more & I guess M:TG is a very complicated game to learn. I think I will only get the hang of it by "dueling", "Magicking" or w/e they like to call it, using a "starter deck" of sorts. Meh, the last 24 hours was a complete waste of my time, other than to bring me to that conclusion.
I aint the sharpest tool on the bench ya know. :D
