People often underrate this card but when used right it can be one of the best ones.

Uses for this card:
force your opponent facedown traps he doesnt want to activate
--You have no monsters and he has a facedown Ring of destruction.you force him to activate it on his own monster or if he doesnt has any either you can destroy it for a good direct attack.
--Force your opponent to activate magic jammer since its timing will be incorrect it will be destroyed.
--Force your opponent to use waboku when he doesnt need it.
--Lots of other uses
Other Benefits
--comes back to your deck so you can use it again believe me this effect is good.
I once used this card 3 times on the same duel and i only run 1

If this card was a quickplay it would be much better but it isnt.
Also this card can be used to destroy your opponent torrential tribute.
what do you think of this card?

It only reveals quick-play spell cards, it doesn't stop them. Though people once ued De-Spell to peek at their opponents traps.

Its powerless to stop Continuous traps (the chainable ones at least) which have gained popularity in advanced. However, it still forces them to activate, allowing the contoller to better time his/her heavy storm or Mystical Space Typhoon.

This card doesn't see much play at all. It would be easier to use mst, harpie's, etc. Returning to your deck is not always a good thing. If you're trying to draw a certain card, it would lower your chances of drawing it. I used to draw this card constantly and it was of no help. Stick to regular spell/trap destruction.

since MST is limited and harpies feather duster is banned this card should see more play is better than MST when used right.

This card is good, but not as good as MST or Dust, or something like that, in my opinion.

I want to ask a question about this card:
If you activate Bait Doll on your opponent's Trap,
and he activate that Trap himself to chain with BD's activation,
will Bait Doll return to the deck?

yes because baitdoll was activated.baitdoll returns to your deck even if they chain or the card selected was a spell card.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in that post.

What it means is that in order for it to return to your deck, you need to successfully force the acitvation of that face down card.

Bait Doll

Force the activation of 1 face-down Trap Card. If the timing of the activation of the Trap Card is incorrect, negate the effect and destroy it. If it is not a Trap Card, it is returned to its original position. After this card is activated, it is placed into the Deck (not the Graveyard). Then shuffle the Deck.

The ruling would lead those to believe that it is returned to the Deck after activation, unless it is destroyed in a chain to its activation, or negated.

Also, Magic Jammer is not destroyed if force activated. If a card gets activated with a cost, like Raigeki Break, the cost is not paid and the effect still resolves. Bait Doll would be negated and destroyed.

Well... Bait Doll would have activated though, because in order for you to have actually seen the face-down spell or trap card, Bait Doll's effect would have to have been activated. Since Bait Doll specifically states that "if it's not a trap card, return it to it's original position", Choosing a facedown spell card as a target would not negate Bait Doll's effect as that instance has been stated in the card ruling itself.

Otherwise your opponent is just showing you their face-down card for the fun of it if you chose a face-down spell card while trying to activate Bait Doll.

So say that Bait Doll Targets a face down Magic Jammer and Bait Doll as a result, is negated. Then the Doll in response to Magic Jammer would have been brought back to a state in the duel where it wouldn't have "activated" in the first place[It fizzles in other words] so it's secondary ability could not be used to bring it back to the deck even though it had been "activated".

However, the same situation can be done when Bait Doll is first played by activating a trap like Magic Jammer. Same result as the above, just at a different (and less confusing) step of the duel. ^_^

What if used on a 7 tools? Would they still pay the cost, seeing as cost can not be negated?

Well if force-activated, Seven Tools has to negate itself.... Which is possible since Bait Doll force activated it. And Seven Tools being an activated trap card it would negate itself due to it's own effect and the controller would have to pay the cost I'd think. :|

Heh, for some reason that kinda made my head hurt, I never really thought about Seven Tools having to negate itself if force activated...

If the card comes with an activation cost, it is not paid when force activated by Bait Doll. The timing for Seven Tools would be incorrect so it would be destroyed.

Need to clear something up here.

If Bait Doll forces Magic Jammer to activate then its illegal timing.  Bait doll has already started to resolve and magic jammer has to be chained to the activation. Because of this Magic jammer doesn't have a legal target to negate when forced to activate by Bait Doll.

How is Bait Doll resolving as a Spell Speed 1 Normal Spell Card? It would be the same as if your opponent activated his own Magic Jammer when you activated Bait Doll.

Bait Doll and Dust Tornado both have the same flaw in that if you can use the card targeted, it's ineffective.
