Bait Doll question...

Gotta love the Bait Doll...

But going up to your question Felix Bait Doll will still get shuffled into the deck, as odd as that sounds. Here's a ruling I dug up on Bait Doll:

If the target of "Bait Doll" is no longer on the field (if it was sent to the Graveyard with "Emergency Provisions", or destroyed by "Mystical Space Typhoon", as a chain to the activation of "Bait Doll"), then "Bait Doll" is still shuffled back into the Deck. As long as the activation and effect of "Bait Doll" are not negated, the effect of "Bait Doll" that shuffles it back into the Deck still resolves.

While Dust Tornado would still be "on the field" at the moment of resolution by Bait Doll, Bait Doll still was properly activated (DT was face down at the time) and there isn't anything negating the resoltuion of the effect that would bring the Doll back to the deck (Imperial Order). So you'd be good to go. Yet another reason why its so handy. I just might have to merge that dude back in 8^D

Hey Dillie-O, you might want to re-read his scenario again. "Dust Tornado" was chained and destroyed "Bait Doll" in the middle of the chain resolution. "Bait Doll" can't be shuffled back into the deck from the Graveyard...lol.
But what about ruling number 6? Bait Doll isnt a optional effect, and Dust Tornado doesnt negate Bait Doll, just destroy it.

Im sure that even though Bait Doll went to the Graveyard, the effect, just like any other Normal Spell or Trap that is destroyed in a chain, would still resolve as normal.

Using the Call of the Haunted argument, "It doesnt say that it cant go to the Graveyard and then go to the Deck!!"

If I were at home I could do so easily, but Im at work now...

But, here's something to chew on...

Bait Doll
If "Bait Doll" is destroyed in a chain with its activation, "Bait Doll" will not return to the player's deck.

"Bait Doll" vs. "Jinzo" - If "Jinzo" is active on the field and "Bait Doll" forces the activation of a non-continuous Trap card, that Trap card will be destroyed. If "Bait Doll" forces the activation of a continuous Trap card, that card will remain on the field meaninglessly while "Jinzo[/yard]" is active.

But that's a monster effect which only applies while the monster is on the field, Bait Doll's effect will still continue to resolve after it has been removed from the field, so should the full effect not resolve? It could really go either way...

As long as the activation and effect of "Bait Doll" are not negated, the effect of "Bait Doll" that shuffles it back into the Deck still resolves.
Could be a badly phrased ruling or a absolute truth.
