Barrel behind the door

Okies heres my question. To be blunt when exactly can this card be used? Barrel Behind the Door

Can it be used and chained to a cost of a card, such as Wall of revealing light or Solemn Judgment for example?

I know it can be used for ring of destruction, magic cylinder and certian trigger effects such as lava golem, but how exactly do you know if it can be used on a card?

Another example, in a tournament I attended recently, i saw a kid chain barrel behind the door to his injection fairy lily.  Is that legal as it is a cost and not a trigger?

Any and all help would be appreciated as this card has me confused

Thanks

Saro

the rules in regards of barrel behind the door can be found in ARRJ files

to answer your specific question

barrel behind the door cannot shift "activation cost" of spells(example confication), traps(sollen judgement) and monsters(injection fairy lily)

ah, man well to clear this up a bit, BBTD can only be activated when an Effect that does damage to your lp is activated.

COSTS arnt effects of Cards. Hence NO cost can be used with BBTD.

Injection, Solem Judge, Confiscation, Toon world, OR you activating the effects of Chaos Emperor Dragon.

BBTD also only activates when the card activates or so my understanding cause you cannot use it against wave motion cannon.

other than that, If its Chaos emperor dragon blowing up on your opponent side of the field, you can chain with BBTD to make the damage to to your opponent.

You absolutely can use Barrel Behind the Door to divert the damage from Chaos Emperor Dragon. I had an interesting example in a duel today, which I think is legal. The situtation is my opponent had Reflect Bounder on the field. I summoned Magical Scientist, paid 1000 LP and special summoned Dark Flare Knight (I had already set Barrel on the previous turn). I attack Reflect Bounder with DFK. I then chained Barrel to DFK's effect (since it is a countertrap with Spell Speed 3 and can activate in the damage step) inflicting the 2200 LP hit to the owner of Reflect Bounder.

It is legal, but your explanation is a bit off. You are chaining to the effect of Reflect Bounder, not the effect of Dark Flare Knight.
