Effect Monster (Beast / EARTH / 7 Stars / ATK 2700 / DEF 1500)

This card can be Normal Summoned or Set with 1 Tribute Monster. In that case, the original ATK of this card becomes 2000. When this card is Tribute Summoned successfully, you can return from your Graveyard to the owner's hand a number of Beast-Type monsters equal to the number of Tributed monsters.

This is certainly an "upgrade" over the last "King" of Beasts of sorts ("Gazelle"?) His summoning effect is similar to "Fusilier Dragon" in that you don't need 2 tributes to get him out (though you'll still need at least 1). Further, the stats aren't great but still decent. The effect though makes him very useful in a Beast-themed deck. The fact that you can return monsters from your graveyard to your hand at least allows you to recycle your resources so the cost to tribute summon him is a better return than other summons. He can combo well with "Rescue Cat" (if the cat were summoned another turn) and if you bring out "Enraged Battle Ox", just watch the Behemoth squash everything in its path. A decent card that should be a very solid addition to a Beast deck (and an Earth deck to a lesser degree).

also, in a Beast/Beast-Warrior hybrid, you can sacrifice 2 Manticores for it, and return 2 Beasts to discard to revive the Manticores, making it a free 2 Tribute Summon, in essence.

I was thinking of using the 3 10 star beast that is from the Exclusive Pack and Pyramid of Light. Summon the 2 of them by the effect of Pyramid Of Light, sacrifice both for Behemoth and use Behemoth's effect to get them back. Special Summon the 3rd beast which has the effect stated that when the other 2 are destroyed, special summon him. Then... ATTACK!

i personally dont like Behemoth as much as Manticore. I think that Manticore has a much better effect, but thats just me. If i wanted to tribute for an effect i could only use once, why not just use a monarch like mobius and get more field advantage anyway? However, i suppose in beast decks hes pretty great. one thing though: if you tribute just one monster, you basically get only a Monster Reincarnation/The Warrior Returning Alive effect. thats why its a lot better to tribute two monsters, as you wont be losing anything anyway, because you can get the tributed back.

his effect isnt game breaking or anything, and i think he shouldve been a rarity instead, but its definatly an added bonus with beast decks. (only)

the fact you get a free Monster Reincarnation out of him is nice, but i cant see anyone putting him in a deck for that one reason,

AH! thats nice too! Des Kangaroo strikes back baby! Though, Behemoth King of All Animals looks rather unphased. Still, awesome art there too. Phoenix Wing Wind Blast looks really cool too, IMHO. lots of FET-EN cards have rather favorable artwork. Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys wins my award for most innovative and original depiction of a phoenix though. however, TLM-EN has artwork meant to rival FET-EN. The elemental kids (as i call them), Reshef, Dryad, and the Sphinxes are all VERY well drawn.

oh yeah... i guess his face is a tad squished in. man, and hes a big boy too lol. (though, 2700 ATK ~ 2000 ATK isnt all that great for his tribute cost(s), IMO) (i mean, if i want a 2700 Beast(-warrior), id just use Mystical Knight of Jackal, who's effect is just awesome, IMO again)

It's almost a shame to mention the obvious Megamorph, though Behemoth is not that easily abusable as Fusilier. Maybe they learned from that mistake? Nah, can't imagine that...

That Sphinx trick is nice. Behemoth will rarely fit into something else than a Beast Deck, but used in such kind of deck, the support will surely be enough to compensate for these weird 2700 ATK...

But I run the combo in a burn deck with last will. and fire princess.

Remember tribute isn't the same as destroyed so this wouldn't work, you'd be better off using Rescue Cat and Ultimate Offering.
