Pros:
* Negates Magic/Spell card that designates it as a target whilst face- down.
* 2600 DEF making it rather hard to destroy for most monsters (no Level 4 monster can destroy this single-handedly)

Cons:
* Switches to Attack Position after being attacked leaving it and ultimately your Life Points open to attack

i like this card because it is a level 4 monster with such a high attack. you just have to play a card that keeps all monsters in defence position. there is my 2 cents.

LLAB, anyone? Could work with Warrior Swarm also. Works as trib fodder, wastes your opponent's Xout...only drawback is that pathetic ATK. Oh, well. There's always Sakuretsu.

They ram a goat, take 2600, kill your BSG for 2300 (and with Jinzo you can't activate defense traps), and free up a monster slot.

Nightmare Wheel won't prevent Big Shield Gardna from being switched to attack mode (by effect), but it will cause Big Shield Gardna to be stuck in attack mode.

i like Big Shield Gardna quite a bit. since your opponent will usually be a human player and not a gameboy, they wont know that you have 2600 DEF monster waiting for them FD. and they will usually try to nuke your FD monsters with Nobleman of Crossout, and they will only find this baby. But its really great when they attack this with like, Don Zaloog, only to find that they just lost 1200 LP. being switched to ATK mode is rather... bad, since its ATK is 100. Command Knight and the a forces can only do so much. Book of Moon is this card's best friend.

it also combos VERY nicely with Cross Counter.

Rating for Warrior Decks: (this one needs traditional and advanced)
Traditional: 2/5 Most of the time, strong monsters and Raigeki and Dark Hole will kill this guy.
Advanced: 4/5 No Dark Hole, no Raigeki, no Chaos Emperor Dragon, and no Yata Garasu, which can really hurt him. This brings his rating up quite a bit.

Art: 3.5/5 Very cool shield.
