Bought a box of Magicians Force........didnt get any Dark Magician Girl (isnt one supposed to get one when buying a booster box? with it beeing secret rare and all)....rarest card IMO was the Dragon Cannon card..dont know if its XY or YX or yeah you know 0_o

3 Skilled white magician, 2 Y Dragon Head, Paladin of White Dragon......felt like i wasted money espeically since i didnt get the secret rare card

and i got 1 wave motion cannon!! wasnt this card a common???
 
Secret Rares are 1 in every 36 packs, or 2 in every 3 boxes. Don't feel bad, when I bought a box of MFC I also didn't get a DMG.

You did get 3 Skilled White Magicians, though. That's kinda nice. You can make a Buster Blader or Dark Paladin deck with them.
 
Your chances of getting a Dark Magician Girl are much better in the Rise of Destiny packs. I once went through 6 boxes of Dark Crisis and didn't get a single Judgment of Anubis. I hunted everywhere for that card, and now I've pulled 5 out of RDS packs.
 
I have actually started changing over to where I buy boxes instead of boosters. The only set I have not bought a box of so far has been RDS since I have been getting the Champion boxes at Wal-Mart instead. I have gotten boxes of AST, SOD, and DB1. Out of my AST I pulled Gear Golem, 2 Double Coston, Drain Shield, Legacy Hunter, Needle Burrower, The Agent of Force - Mars, The First Sarcophagus, and Zaborg the Thunder Monarch. Out of SOD I had pulled Armed Dragon LV3-5, Horus LV4-8, Ectoplasmer, Greed, Hallowed Life Barrier (Ult), Mystic LV2, Null and Void, and Penumbral Solider Lady (Ult). I have not opened the box of DB1 yet so I'm not sure what is in there.

However, in probably what has been my single most positive experience with UDE or probably any company in fact is that out of the box of AST and SOD I had gotten only 1 UR card and of course no secret in AST. So just out of curiosity I contacted UDE through e-mail asking them about that and asking them about their whole policy on the ratios and they offered to send out some cards to me if all I did was mail them a copy of the e-mail response they sent me along with the tops of the boxes. They sent cards to me in a hard case by 2 day mail and really surprised me! I can honestly say that I have never gotten customer service of that high of quality from any company I have ever dealt with until that day. They really went above and beyond.
 
Yeah. I know some folks that bought IOC boxes when they first came out and only got 1 Ultra Rare, the rest Supers, and not even Black Luster Soldier.

Its a shame when you have to trade off to get a card that by all odds, you should have gotten in the box.
 
Yeah and it can get upsetting because you would like to think that going by the ratios you would get a certain about of UR, SR, and R cards but you don't, there is no guarantee behind the ratio other than you get 1 Rare card in every pack and that is printed right on the packs.

I also think that I was just EXTREMELY lucky in my situation with UDE though. Because when I sent them to box tops they sent me the cards in a really nice hard case. There were 5 cards from SOD that were all Ultimate Rare and they were Inferno Fire Blast, Greed, Mobius the Frost Monarch, Armed Dragon LV7, and Mystic Swordsman LV4 and they ended up completing my collection for SOD. I got 5 cards from AST as well, 2 Secret rare which were The End of Anubis and Mazera De Ville. I also got 3 UR which were Gear Golem, Ghost Knight of Jackal, and Dark Magic Attack.

haha i was actually thinking of buying a box of db1.. but i don't know.. doesn't seem that the rare cards are that easy to get :x
maybe i'll just buy a few packs of db1, ast and dcr
 
next month that is in january...end of january....ill be buying a box of Pharonic Guardian this time.....i mean all i could find was Magicians Force and Soul of the Duelist....and since Magicians Force was like 2nd im my list i took it.....but like i said i ended up getting crap

x equals the reciprocal of the odds of getting something in one pack (1/24 *reciprocal would be 24/1 )
n equals the number of packs to be opened
the equation gives you the chance fo getting at least ONE of the something in those packs

you'll see that there's only a 64% chance of getting an Ultra Rare in a box of SOD or RDS

though this equation will lose accuracy for a high number as there isn't an Infinite amount of Booster packs* (this equation will never be exactly 100%* but say for example there was only 2400 packs..* once you open 2300 of them and don't get an Ultra rare.. the chances of getting the Ultra Rare in each of the next packs would be 100%)
 
It was extremely nice of UDE. I only paid about $55 for the box of DB1 too so that was not bad at all. The store I go to is pretty reasonable about the boxes. I had only paid about $65 for SOD and $75 for AST. I'll probably end up paying about $65 for Flaming Eternity when it comes out.

calculating swedish currency to american.....the price i bought my Magicians Force for was 221 dollars approx

WOW, that is quite a bit for a box of cards. The store I go to charges about $75/$80 for a box of Magician's Force cards. I'm not sure what shipping would be but chances are it would probably save you some money. You can get some good deals on EBay too provided you have enough trust to deal with some of the people on there.
 
Without rubbing salt in the wound, you did the best you could with the information you had in your area. I have never purchased a entire box myself, but at times I have spent enough to have done so, and probably would have done significantly better if I had.

I suppose the old saying holds true, "Its better to shop around".
