Brotherhood Reservist

Does everyone agree that brotherhood reservist is the best deck in mma format. I once claimed that avengers was better ... but i am now a believer of the brotherhood... they just beat so much harder than avengers... it's sickening.

Well, after playtesting yesterday with the new version of Brotherhood you put together you proved it hits harder than Avengers. We also proved that heros in reserve SUCKS in brotherhood reservist, since you replace so many resources in a turn, seriously you end up replacing at least 2 per turn...

But I also proved Hellfire can beat hard too.... Hopefully no one else will pick up on it. Sleeper deck?!?

Squad is still a good choice for a deck to run as it keeps up with the Brotherhood. Another Sleeper Deck?!?

I'm telling you Avengers on evens has a good chance against brotherhood which I was almost able to prove if I could draw a plot twist/location.

Seems like the meta for this PC is going to be beat decks and who can beat the crap out of the other person first. Tech decks are no more, sorry X-men, you just plain suck!

I don't know about no tech decks there might be a way to get X-Men to work. I think E'n J has no idea what he was doing. It looked like he just grabbed random X-Men cards and threw them in a deck.... And you are the weakest link...

hellfire was surprisingly good.... really good but faces should and will eat that deck... do you know why faces will win... because it's so darn EVIL!

you were probably playing avengers reservist wrong or had the wrong build. brotherhood reservist is so far away from the greatness that is avenger's reservist.

Top decks of the format I think are gonna be hellfire, Avengers reservist, Squadron, and possibly morlocks. Hellfire is amazing.

Shhhh.... Keep Hellfire underwraps I'm hoping no one noticed....

We tested it against a standed avengers build, if brotherhood takes evens it can smash avengers. If brotherhood takes evens it can easily beat Avengers....

btw: Hellfire stall is awful......

3 Beast
4 Rick Jones
4 Natasha
4 Dane
4 Black Panther
3 Quicksilver
4 Hawkeye
3 Druid
3 She-Hulk
3 Sub-mariner
4 Wonderman
1 Capt. America
3 Hercules

4 Flying Kick
4 Call Down the lightning
4 Heroes in Reserve
3 System Failure

3 Avengers Mansion

What would you suggest changing? I had no prob beating Brotherhood on evens. Odds on the other hand I never won.
Give me some ideas!!!

yeah, you were definatly using the wrong avengers build. try this one:

Characters:
4 MAV-021 Rick Jones ~ A Hero's Best Friend

4 MAV-006 Dane Whitman <> Black Knight ~ Heroic Paladin
2 MAV-027 Wasp ~ Janet Van Dyne-Pym
4 MAV-019 Natasha Romanoff <> Black Widow ~ Super Spy

4 MAV-002 Black Panther ~ T'challa
4 MAV-020 Quicksilver ~ Mutant Avenger

4 MXM-212 Doctor Druid ~ Anthony Druid
1 MAV-005 Carol Danvers <> Warbird ~ Galactic Adventurer
3 MAV-012 Hawkeye ~ Clinton Barton

4 MXM-213 Sub-Mariner ~ Namor
2 MAV-023 She-Hulk ~ Gamma Bombshell

1 MAV-004 Captain America ~ Super Soldier
3 MAV-028 Wonder Man ~ Simon Williams

3 MAV-013 Hercules ~ Son of Zeus

Plot Twists:
4 MAV-194 Heroes in Reserve
4 MAV-031 Call Down the Lightning
4 MFF-025 Flying Kick
3 MAV-029 Avengers Assemble!

Locations:
2 MAV-030 Avengers Mansion

60 Total Cards

I'm wondering why it says I'm running 3 hercs when I thought I only ran 2 of them... I'll probably take it out for a system failure or wasp

the leader build is alot better then the pure reservist build with the two legacy cards. The first avengers reservist deck to hit t8 at a 10k was a leader build. it looked like this:

(this is an exact copy)
Characters:
2 MAV-021 Rick Jones ~ A Hero's Best Friend
4 MAV-019 Natasha Romanoff <> Black Widow ~ Super Spy
3 MAV-027 Wasp ~ Janet Van Dyne-Pym
4 MAV-006 Dane Whitman <> Black Knight ~ Heroic Paladin
3 MAV-020 Quicksilver ~ Mutant Avenger
4 MAV-002 Black Panther ~ T'challa
1 MAV-016 Iron Man ~ Tony Stark
4 MAV-012 Hawkeye ~ Clinton Barton
4 MAV-005 Carol Danvers <> Warbird ~ Galactic Adventurer
2 MAV-094 Hawkeye ~ Leader by Example
4 MAV-023 She-Hulk ~ Gamma Bombshell
1 MAV-004 Captain America ~ Super Soldier
3 MAV-028 Wonder Man ~ Simon Williams
2 MAV-013 Hercules ~ Son of Zeus

Plot Twists:
3 MAV-194 Heroes in Reserve
4 MAV-031 Call Down the Lightning
4 DGL-204 No Man Escapes the Manhunters
2 MAV-029 Avengers Assemble!
4 MOR-214 Savage Beatdown

Locations:
2 MAV-030 Avengers Mansion

of course you team attack. Natasha is god. Wasp is run for the extra leaders, because she is god, so you don't miss your 2 drop, and because she is one of those cards you can feel good about under droping with.

Even initiative is alot better when you played quicksilver turn three and you have the option of droping wasp and natasha (and having rick jones just makes it even better).

Last I heard, stunning your opponent's whole board while you remain unscathed... was a good thing.

The prefered drop on each turn varies GREATLY depending on the matchup, the board, and most importantly, who has the initiative.

i'll go through avengers reservist and squadrion thogh since they are currently the most popular.

Obviously turn 1 is rick jones, if you miss him, it's not a big deal, you can play him later for a discard-or not, depends.

turn 2 we are already getting complex. I gtg, i'll finish this l8er

Brotherhood cant win on evens. They need the loss of reinforcement on 6 for the kill. Without initiative they just dont hit hard enough up till 6.
