Burning Red Tomatoes

Here's a different approach with Mystic Tomato. I'm considering taking this to the Butler Regionals on Dec. 18, so any help is appreciated. I'm trying to decide between this deck, my Wildheart deck (see the signature), my DMoC Burn deck, or the deck I'll post shortly after this one. I think the Spellcasters with Magician's Circle make for a nice twist. The burn element is nice, at least until Des Wombat comes out. But I can always take control of it and launch it with Cannon Soldier. Well enough talk - on with the deck.

Anyways, have at it. Thanks.

Ahem...yes, anyway...

Maybe one Skilled Dark Magician, just in case you decide you want to pull a beatstick with that cirlce, you know? Also, you may want to consider Rivalry of Warlords instead of Ground Collapse (even though that heavies your Trap lineup even more), as it can do more than just lock up two zones in a pinch. Plus most of your guys are the same type anyway. A third Toon Table is a must. It's kinda dumb to just run two in my opinion. I'm glad someone at least is using poor Mocha...he was feeling lonely...just remember that he doesn't que off of anything but NORMAL spells, meaning you may want to load up with just a few more of those.

I do need to get that 3rd TToC in, I just don't know how (though 42 total isn't unmanagable). And in the early workings of this deck, I had a couple Meteor of Destructions in here to pad the amount of Normal Spells and give R-FM (Mocha) more burning. They just didn't make the final cut. I could be persuaded though since I definitely see the potential.

Skilled Dark is for another deck like this I have in mind, but probably won't be used until the Spellcaster structure comes out. Rivalry is a nice idea, but I think I'd rather have Ground Collapse to allow me more summoning if needed.

Any thoughts on getting any of the mentioned cards in the deck?

I do believe that I'm missing something... How do you summon the monsters in your fusion deck??

his opponent plays Exchange, and he gets Metamorphosis out of his hand. :) He might just have a fusion deck to through his opponent off. Nothing wrong with that. I carry a fusion deck with no way to pull monsters out, but if I somehow take control of some xyz monsters, or get Metamorphosis if they play Exchange, I'm prepared.

how are you going to protect your small monsters?
Are you suggesting I run something like Messenger of Peace, or Gravity Bind, etc.?

I ask because MoP was something I considered in the initial stages of building this. The only things bothered by adding it would be R-FM, Breaker, and the Fusions, so that wouldn't be a problem. Getting a couple to fit... now that's the problem.

If you meant something else, well I'd love to hear that, too. :icon_wink

yeah, that's what I meant. You have two sakurestus to stop attacks, but just those two will not stop your opponent from attacking. especially with all those low attacks face up on the field.

As I've mentioned in a couple of other threads, I've always had great success with Soul Exchange when playing Cannon Soldier, especially in a deck with Ojama Trio. Soul Exchange allows me to rid the field of pesky monsters like Jinzo and when I have another Ojama Trio in my hand makes space to give them the other three tokens to lock down their monster zones. Try a couple of copies or at least side deck them, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Soul Exchange could work here. I don't necessarily need to attack with anything so the loss of Battle Phase shouldn't hurt. In fact, there have been lots of good suggestions, but any idea on how to get them in the deck?
